You this is all just bullshit liberal semantics, right?

When you copy instead of paying cash to see it in the cinemas, you're not giving them back the money they invested in making the movie. i.e. if noone watches, rents vids or buys merchandise the studios would tank…in theory.

That being said, I always wondered how they can claim they're losing money when production values of a blockbuster can shoot up to the gdp of a 3rd world country and they can afford to pay some no-talent cokehead scientologist $20 million per film.

 No.279460

if they can't produce something that people are willing to pay for, they deserve to tank

I found out a friend of mine was pirating movies from his home computer, so I called the local police and when they investigated they ended up taking all of his computer gear (even the monitors and printers lol). He was never actually charged with a crime because the charges were dropped, but he learned an important lesson.

Piracy hurts all of us, and it is important to turn in anyone you know is commiting the crime.

Similar story but different:

> be in HS (not now, back three years ago)

> kid bragging about his internet prowess

> always watching the latest movies, etc

> thinks using torrents makes him a leet hacker

> didn't like him anyway

> turns out his mom works for the county

> at home

> using county-paid internet

> drop a dime on him by informing the county watchdog agency

> forget about it, whatever

> month later he's not in school

> story on TV news about local county employee charged with improper use of public resources

> coulditbe.jpg

> yesitcould.mpg

> my mouth drops down to the floor

> turns out they investigated and found out most of the bandwidth was being used for torrents

> no police investigation but she lost her job

> they ended up having to move cuz she couldn't get a job anywhere locally (single mom of course)

> all because he had to steal fucking shit on the internet

We should live in a communist society and have everything shared equality including entertainment. That'll dull them from the real horrors happening behind the scenes. Not like that is different from a democratic society but it'll be more streamlined.

When you're a fan of something, you're still inclined to give back. The only reason they're upset is because they can't jew you into paying to see a piece of shit that you will hesitate to walk out of because you already paid. Same goes for albums. Nothing worse than having a single that pulls you in, only to find out that the rest of the album is shit.

The key difference is that the thing still exists. If anything you are taking an experience for free.

If you ran a bike rental company and I rode it for free, leaving the bike, I'd have 'stolen' the experience you were selling. If I took the bike I'd have 'stolen' the experience and physically stolen the bike.

'Piracy' is like the former. It's called piracy to try and conflate it with real piracy that is a form of the latter.

 No.279545

The analogy falls down in one area though in that only one faggot can ride a rental bike at once.

Reminder that if you record a program off the television, it's piracy. If you watch that recording, that's also piracy. If you show that recording to other people, that's even more piracy you've committed.

Reminder that if you watch a Youtube clip/fragment of a show from anyone other than the copyright holder, it's piracy, and if you have Adblock on, it's piracy anyway.

Reminder that buying used DVDs/Blu-Rays means the money you spent on them does not go to the rights' holders of that particular media and is therefore piracy. The original owner has illegally profited off the sale of the DVD to the shop, whether it be online or an actual store.

my nigga

just cuz we work doesn't mean we waste money on shit.

been pirating since 05 and only received notices twice, for game of thrones episodes. since then i've steered clear of anything hbo to be safe and haven't heard a thing

 No.279738

stealing media is fucking great, i make no excuses. A shit show like avengers that cost hundreds of millions? even juicier, its almost arousing, I like to imagine some kike furrowing his brow at the theoretical missed sales in dvds and fucking themed big gulps

Its not that I dont "like" IP, the concept simply does not compute.

My dream is to make a videogame entirely out of stolen assets, ideological reasons would be secondary, I would probably still try to monetize it with btc or something

the best part of this paradigm of thieves is that any incompetent potato nigger with an internet connection has access to pretty much the same media as some rich whiney cunt, soon there will be no excuse for being a dumbass with pleb taste

I dont care about hollywood, anything they produce that has value is negated by the constant stream of garbage. I would not piss on them if they were burning.

 No.279818

understandable, but i would advise you to aquire one in the near future, especially if you still take part in society in any sort of meaningful way.

Think less muh privacy and more character assassination…

an example, ever since this fugee crisis has been going on in germany weve had organized groups logging peoples inane youtoob/facebag chatter and the like, going so far as to email/call their boss to slander them…

im not even entirely anti-refugee(id trade a million syrians to send the burger boys home) but that shit is fucked up, nevermind the fact that they can convict your fucking lawyer if you start on any holoklaus shit.

UK is even worse from what i hear, and oh boy is the US going down that road..

VPN wont protect you from spooks but its an extra layer. might become a necessity sooner than you think if you want to speak your mind(or steal the latest steaming pile out of jewlywood)

nice, never heard of this, my go to example has always been hezbollah and their lolworthy but sadly shitty jew removal sims(mostly far cry 1 assets)

like 90% of vidya manhours seems to be assets, eventually someone is going to cut away the fat, maybe that will afford them the breathing room to actually make good game

Im trying to drum up more bitcoins to do this, its pretty much my only talent that could assist in such an endeavor.

pay the coders, pay your main guys, steal everything else and send em a thank you note

I want to make something offensive, but not just edgelord offensive like hatred it needs to be funny

quick brainstorm, feel free to shoot these down:

>Somali Pirates Roguelike

3d but somewhat low-fi, with decent ship and body destruction.

Start off working for a warlord as a hired gun, slowly build up a crew of "dependable" nigras, possible captain phillip anal assault DLC

>Geopol Deathmatch

celebrity deathmatch sans claymo, and with world leaders past and present instead of celebs. make it really brutal, finishing moves bone breakers and the like.

>Putin is insanely Imba

>Obamer can drone you, your family, your wedding, wears ladypants

>Polish twins catholic midget tag team

>Fatima Merkel with saracen sword and niqab

>Hitler

>Jewish Hitler

>kebabs

>Kebab removers

you could do so many, could really milk the international market on this one

I was wondering, if I made putin stronk enough maybe i could get Kreml to help bankro

 No.280009

>>279858

If everyone rode for free perhaps.

One or two faggots who would not have paid otherwise costs me nothing and gives me word of mouth.

I'll always say people should pay a fair price if they enjoyed the product and can afford it but that still doesn't mean not doing so is theft.

The fact that tv/films are so hard to pay for doesn't help. In the UK, for example, the only legal way to see GoT is to pay for Sky (not worthwhile for one show only) or wait over a year. As a result I see no moral wrong in pirating GoT (particularly if I'm already paying for something like Netflix). Gabe might have sold out long ago but what he said is still true: piracy is a service issue as much as anything else.
