>An adult one
Look, I love gore in excessive amounts as much as the next old Peter Jackson fan (splatter film fans in general, really), but why is everybody still so fucking immature that "blood and gore" is equated with "adult"?
The period of my life that I appreciated blood and gore in films to the greatest degree was between 10 and 16 years old. I like it, but come on. That's like saying that the latest CoD is an "adult" game because it's got guns and is rated M.
I haven't seen Deadpool, and I'm sure it's fine, but the most "adult" film I've seen in the past 5 years was a PG-13 film acted mostly by children (Moonrise Kingdom).
Adult isn't about sex and violence. It's about deeper thought and concepts that require the audience to actively contemplate them, and I guarantee Deadpool didn't have that.
I'm not going to post the CS Lewis quote. It's got a point, but it's usually missed by people who take it to mean "Fairy tales are the most adult of all", instead of the truth, which is "Insecurity over interests for fear of judgment is usually something experienced by children and adolescents rather than adults." That, and I kind of hate the "Somebody famous said it therefore it proves my point" attitude of people that just drop quotes everywhere.
