Understandably the letters are more or less implied to work on a chart, but do you think they work on a chart that has written up rules, or what is the stipulation for a chart to be considered for letters to work? Technically it could work on all of the charts posted, based merely on wording, and we all know how much of a semantics and min-maxing game this is, but obviously it doesn't feel like that is the point of the reward.

So…some time back I came up with an idea long before I learned about Towergirls and the spin-off Towerknights initially inspired by games like Castle Crashers and Shovel Knight involving a series of chibi style knights for an RP idea I'm workin on. While googling reference images, I came across the Towerknights designs and by proxy, learned of Towergirls and became lost in the awesomeness…which inspired a great many ideas I applied thereafter.

Basically me and my friends love dice/character sheet style RPG's but right now we're separated by distance and responsibilities and the long process of character creation is a pain when spur of the moment availability is an issue. So I had the idea to basically create 18 different "mystic knights" each with a unique theme, special abilities, skills, strengths and weakness and character quirks. The catch is the players have no control over who they end up with; picking totally at random and as an added challenge, can get extra experience if they apply the characters personality quirks.

These are four that have gotten the base colors; Green Knight, White Knight, Blue Knight and Iron Knight….going to post the original sketches and general details for all 18 next…and yeah you'll notice quite a few ideas I snagged from Towerknights. This is purely for personal use anyway; not planning to make any money off of this. And likewise if you'd like to take any of these and use them for your projects, feel free :)

The first 9; meant to be the most balanced stats wise and can each hold their own in most situations.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

TOP ROW: Iron Knight: skilled blacksmith; incredible strength and defense. Gold Knight: charm and financial savvy; powers associated with light and luck. Indigo Knight: skilled wizard who wields offensive magic (fire, lightning, ice, etc)

MIDDLE ROW: Green Knight: Hunter/tracker woodsman; nature magic. White Knight: noble and courageous Templar; divine magic. Blue Knight: crackshot archer; magically enhanced senses and magic arrows.

BOTTOM ROW: Red Knight: martial artist; channels chi energy to enhance physical prowess and heal wounds. Bronze Knight: genius tactician and powerful presence; powers to inspire, intimidate and repel opposition. Silver Knight: swift dispatcher; powers of enhanced speed and evasion.

TOP ROW: Copper Knight: experienced veteran warrior; powers of observation, clairvoyance and calming the savage heart. Brown Knight: skilled miner; powers of tunneling, vibration (quake) and darkness control. Lead Knight: impenetrable defense; powers of density, immovability and absorption of energy.

Oh yeah forgot to also explain that I'm using the GreenRonin D20 system for this and we'd be using the Roll20 virtual tabletop website to run games on, solving our issue with relative distance.

I was so fond of the three positives/two negatives idea with your format I'm going to be doing that as well as a way to lay out the quirks/personality details. I'll post those later as they become available.

We've recently passed an entire year of Tower Girls threads on /ic/; I'm updating some of the art for the thread with this year's meager art gains and am hoping to add some new mechanics to celebrate as well. One thing I'm sure I'm missing though is a few of the characters. Please post any I may have missed in this thread and I'll try and include them (as long as they aren't too great a departure from Gatz' original art style/drawing medium)

While we enormously appreciate the gesture, It would probably be a bad idea given that our own game is trying to shoot for eventual steam release and several of our members have professional industry jobs (or are looking to get such a position in the future) and direct association with an actual porn game could potentially scar any such aspirations irreparably. I know that seems silly given the franchise as a whole, but there you are.

Hey /rpgmg/, the demo for my Towergirl Strategical RPG is kinda ready and I want you to give it a look.

Right now some dialogues and features are missing, everything that can be assimilated to art sux, but unexpectedly the mechanichs are working.

Basically, there are 3 factions ( 10-12 in the end product ) that are warring on default in the demo; you can help them developing techs/defenses etc. that will advantage them against their enemies or directly partecipate in battles.

Sieges and princess saving shenanigans are there as are other things better explained in the demo itself.

Since we got a whole board to ourselves, might as well have a dedicated place to dump general storytiem or writeknightgotry.

Take note, there are already running threads (at the time of this posting) that deal with fluff, worldbuilding, and route discussions. Do what you want of course, but this thread is made with the intent of housing actual narrative stories or fun scenes and ideas without too much of a focus on mechanics or establishing 'canon' or anything. Keep in mind that the story does continue from here. Could you describe to me where it becomes rushed? I tend to do that because as a writer I'm not great at downtime and the like, but if I know which part it is, I can try to make it more fluid. The part once he actually slays the dragon is meant to be vague and rushed however, since he's mentally in and out and probably concussed.

Sorry for the late response. I think it was just a problem of too much stuff happening in the later half and too quickly to take in. The whole rescue thing was pretty glazed over and the battle with the dragon came off kind of clunky and anticlimactic (although maybe that was on purpose. Not every battle can be a super eventful exciting encounter, after all.)

Overall, I think just spending more time building up to things would help, especially if you're going for a bigger story.

So, hey. I'm new here. First time being on 8chan in fact. I've liked the towergirl stuff for a long time, and some guys recently started discussing it again in the cyoa thread on /tg/

Anyway, are the Shark, Snake, Squid, Mushroom, Rust Monster, Cerberus, and Gnoll princesses set in stone? Because I'd really love to see a gator/croc princess. She could be from a swamp kingdom, one class could be a mud wrestler and the other could be something involving swimming or the sewer or camouflaging herself. One of her fetishes/hated fetishes could even be bondage because alligators get their mouths duct taped by people all the time to keep them shut, and her lust gift could involve something like giving you a tough, leathery hide (Or a long dick for her long mouth if there's not already something like that). I know she might be too similar to the shark princess, being a big fit girl who swims, but I feel there's enough differences.

I don't see a reason that the intended princesses need to be limited to the ones originally considered, myself. Heck, I'd forgotten that there was a list of planned princesses to begin with. And really, since it doesn't seem like Gryphon is working on it much anymore… at least not for over six months.

Actually, I recently had come up with the thought of doing more "mythical creature" princesses to go with the gryphon, chimera, beholder, and so on. Specifically, a unicorn princess and phoenix princess. The unicorn could be a second healing princess, perhaps doing more with purifying people of poison and curses, along with a holy-based offensive magic class (or stabbing people with her face). Not as sure for the phoenix… some sorta fire-magic class for one, sure, but dunno for the other, and we already have a fire user in the chimera princess.

As for a Gator princess… I could see that. I'd personally take that over a shark princess because another gen 1 expansion princess, the Merrow Princess, already reminds me a bit too much of a shark as is. I'd also take a curse-based mummy princess as an option, given that we have the art for one and it'd add an undead option to this gen where there isn't any others. Plus the mummy princess art is cute/hot.

speaking of dragons, I have some unposted stuff lying around, including some flavour text.

There was a "what kind of enemies would serve the Dragon Princessess" thing a while back, and I put them in a sort of caste system - DP is the master, and other creatures fall into a system of the more usefull the DP finds them, the higher up the ladder they are and the more likly they have a unique general as a middleman.

DP1 is the first dragon in Towergirls, and very, very, very hungry, who probably only cares about how tasty you are, so she wouldn't attract many followers by 1. being the first boss and 2. eating everyone. So I gave her a standard Dragon entourage of Kobolds and Cultists, who look a little like Team Magma.

The Kobolds would probably have been dragged into this situation, honestly. They likly have a pact with the Dragon Queen, so when DP1 showed up they were basically forced into serving her over their own Princess. At least their master chef is able to keep them off the firing line and make sure the captured princessess are well fed under a "we're just readying them for the sacrafice" excuse they made up on the spot when they were caught serving the captured Princessess a vast abundance of masterwork food.

Meanwhile, the Human cultists are people who are destined for gruntwork. They think that if they worship the hungry dragon enough, mostly by throwing enough food and gold into DP1's room, she'll eventually not go and burn the farms down looking for more food. They probably carry the gold to places where DP1 can't eat it if they need to buy anything for the Kitchens, or possibly send it home to Mom, and unpopular cultists will find themselves drawing lots to go and serve DP1 food, because the Kobolds are too smart to go anywhere near her when she's hungry. Unfortuantly, this means they are dumb enough to believe the Kobolds are readying the captured Princessess to be fed to DP1. And dumb enough to tell DP1 this, and in fact tell basically everyone who would listen. Nice going, boys, your the entire reason a small army of knights showed up.
