Somebody on the /tg/ thread made mention of a "Journey to the east" expansion, but rather than basing a generation off a theme of princesses, what if we took the idea of princesses living in existing kingdoms and worked with that?dragon . Matching Army + and Army - qualities will cancel each other out if you choose to take their army as your own, with the sole exception of dragon.

Could replace the previous-princesses gimmick with some kind of class selection that influences your starting counters / abilities.

Instead, have allied bonuses be always superior to conquered bonuses. You get four "slots," conquering requires one slot, allying requires two slots.
There is one princessless kingdom you can ally with or conquer, to reward people who only take one princess. It's in a corner of the chart, separate from the other 20 princesses, and lists only a power, a wealth, and a conquer/ally bonus.

Conquered: When qualifying for an "all" or "only" bonus award, you may ignore one princess that doesn't fit and claim the reward anyways.
Allied: Pick a princess. That princess always counts for meeting the requirements of bonus rewards.

slave gear, party dress, frilly garb, knight armor, white gown, sweater, pasties, and wild mode
because she qualifies for all of those.
If you rescue only flat chested princesses and one big chested princess, you can still qualify for pasties through the generosity of smuhg.

We should instead work harder to make sure allying is always a good choice.
