If you guys have any questions that need answering, whether they be about the lore, setting, charts or anything else, use this place to post them. For example; >Gats, did you make Towergirls? I did, along with some other anons from 4's /v/. It began as a collaborative effort, and will probably always remain that way until the heat death of the universe. If you also just want to discuss things, use this place as well.

gats !!le1AyysBvc 03/27/15 (Fri) 04:08:47 3b9a0b No. 350
>>342 It was started on a worksafe board, so there was no intention to bring out the titties. The creative meme that started it was basically 'make a joke or a waifu of some sort', and the chart reflected that. It was always going to be about picking a waifu, and that's naturally a bit lewd.

>>340 Can someone with unused slots from a gen/the letters to buy some of the cosmetic rewards? For example, you rescue the Slime Princess and only her, but you want the Palette Swap reward. So you burn 2-3 slots to get it.
Also down the line, it would be neat to see the "Loyal Knight" reward get reskinned for each different char you can be romantically alone with. (Do mounts count against Loyal Knight? I feel like the mounts and the masters shouldn't) For example, a loyal knight to the Drider Princess gets spider-like armor w/ a spider silk cape.

How does the time loop work? So far 3 interpretations. 1. Never take a reward, except tower princess, loop as much as you want. 2. Loop once for every bonus you earned on the first a zpz.

So how do you interpret the PC starting their own kingdom? Do you settle on your own land and overtake your old kingdom? Do your higher ups decide to hand the reigns over to you? Does the knight even have higher ups at the time of Gen 1/ is he working for himself?

>>357 Never drop your tablet while typing a post.
2. Loop once for every bonus earned (and refused) on the first run. You can't get bonuses on subsequent runs because they don't return.
3. This was my interpretation, and it seemed so obvious to me, but many misunderstandings have forced me to this hideous circumlocution:
Bonuses are like poker chips. The wizard gives you all the chips you've earned at the end of the run. You can give a chip to the bouncer if you don't like it (refuse the bonus). If you give all your chips to the bouncer, time loop. When you return to the end of the game, the chips are where you left them, either the wizard or the bouncer. If you've earned new chips, the wizard gives them to you, and you can give them to the bouncer to time loop again.
If you've earned no new chips, either because the wizard doesn't have any to give you or because you haven't earned any, you can't time loop again because you can't pay the fare to the bouncer.

What exactly happens when you renounce the gods of both Merchant Princess and Dragon Princess II?
gats !!le1AyysBvc 03/27/15 (Fri) 05:12:05 3b9a0b No. 379
>>356 The bonuses generally reward the player for going out of their way to save specific princesses to meet those goals. Some kind of currency to buy things you wouldn't normally be able to get might be a good idea, but if you have the slots to waste, you might as well just find another green princess. If you want the palette swap AND the loyalty bonus, there isn't currently a way to get it.
Technically the factionless companions count against the loyal knight bonus, but I think it's a safe bet to ignore that unless you actively want to fuck one of those companions. Then that's just cheating, and that ain't loyal at all. But yeah, unique armor would be cool.
>>357 I'm not sure where people are getting the loop for every bonus from. The original idea was that you can loop as much as you want, but you can't rescue the same thing twice.
I do like that poker chip idea, though.
>>372 Nothing much. You become a sex slave to the princesses you have rescued as stated in merchant princess' card, and with the renunciation curse of dragon princess II, your party also becomes sex slaves to the princesses
they have rescued. No one has the ability to rescue princesses thus far other than yourself.
Anonymous 03/27/15 (Fri) 05:23:14 dedcd6 No. 383
>>379 Hmm, maybe Loyal Knight would allow you to take on two cosmetic rewards you don't qualify for? So both partners get something out of it.
I'd still like some other things that can be used to burn slots so they're not useless for loyal knights. I guess for now they can be used to get more companions.

gats !!le1AyysBvc 03/27/15 (Fri) 07:25:06 3b9a0b No. 413
>>383 Yeah, I mean the reward for being loyal ain't exactly that flashy, so it might be worth changin' at some point.
>>402 We've seen that the human kingdom has multiple princesses despite only one 'official' royal family. Mimic Princess is one of those. Whether that princess was eaten or not, that's up to you.
>>403 I want to say that they're all about as deep as each other, but the ones with the most backstory would definitely be the human princesses, and princesses that used to be human. Even from the little information shown, we can gather that the human kingdom is very large, spans multiple biospheres, and no one likes the royal family very much. The human princess was very much born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Other human princesses seemed to have come across unfortunate 'ends', like the
skeleton, slime and dullahan, the latter of which mentions a civil war that split a kingdom apart. But as always, it's vague enough that multiple interpretations are able to exist. This is just how I envisioned it.
>>406 The knight actually doesn't have a name, 'Ace' was the creation of markydaysaid's commissioner, if not the creation of markydaysaid himself. His armor is considerably different.
But yeah, it sounds like a good idea, though I think the knight threads have that handled pretty well.

>>413 Ah, I didn't know that. I got confused since that's what people called him.

>>416 Lesser dragons, drakes, wyrms, all kinds. The ones that eventually strive for independence usually make their own kingdoms, but there aren't many examples of dragon-likes that desire to go against them.
The real question is who built the towers and for what purpose, since they're clearly not meant to hold dragons, and they're all designed to be dungeons capable of holding only a few people captive. All sorts of mysteries.
Also, nothing happens. It grants a human form, and a human form of a human is just a human.

gats !!le1AyysBvc 03/27/15 (Fri) 08:39:09 3b9a0b No. 424
>>422 Sure, but my answers are very boring. Unless stated otherwise, most of them fall in-between standard human heights. If the average male is around 5'7", the Harpy, Orc, Amazon, Drider, Ogre, Centaur, Holstaur, Rabbit, Triclops, Yeti and the Dragons are all taller, either by a small amount (Rabbit, Holstaur and Harpy being motherly sizes), by an obvious amount (Drider and Centaur having bestial lower halves) or by a considerable amount that ranges from Snu-Snu to Dragon-size. Granted, those sizes vary as well. The Orc isn't the same size as the Amazon, for example.
Every other princess is shorter than you. Races like the dwarves and fairies go below 4', though the fairy is actually quite large, probably about the size of an adult male's forearm. There aren't many surprises, though I might be missing a few. But as you've mentioned, the sizes are subjective in the end. If people want a really tiny drider princess, well that's fine too.
Also I agree, lewd edition barely touches on what I consider some of the most interesting parts of the chart, ie. the stuff that happens beyond the bedroom. There's a lot of really cool room for lore and interpretation there.

>>424 Well actually a couple did

Maybe somewhere down the line you can slowly expand on each princess' kingdom or a bit about the overall setting. Nothing too grand or concrete. Just stuff like the mounts, exports, and even a bit of fluff that distinguishes it from any other kingdom. Alternatively you can do a world map of sorts but if you don't want to commit to that layout you can pull the Here-Be-Dragons convention where it's implied to not be 100% accurate and certain areas are blank because it's a mystery to the mapmaker or the population at large.

I'd love to expand on stuff, and I plan to in time. I'm not sure how useful a map would be, though, since it's one of things that I definitely didn't think about. Kingdoms vary in size to the point where it's like, one of those things left best to the imagination.

Because if you only get ONE time loop, then you can't possibly get Tower Princess. It's simply impossible.

>>379 >The original idea was that you can loop as much as you want, but you can't rescue the same thing twice. It doesn't fully answer the question but it disqualifies
>It should say "for every reward you reject" rather than "if you reject all rewards"? But on the same subject, how many time loops does it take? The hardest thing to get are dowries, since you can get one princess and her two dowries per time loop. If you get a princess and only one dowry, the other dowry is lost forever, so that's 20 loops, except:
You can rescue DPI and swap princesses for their dowries. This would presumably leave the princess there to be saved next time loop. So 18 loops.
You can use the Rabbit wealth bonus to get an additional dowry, 17 loops.
If you munchkin the definition of "gain" to exclude keeping it (what if you want to use it, for example?) Wizard Master can fetch a lost forever dowry: 16 loops.
Depending on how you interpret it, Drider's Amethyst Gossamer gets you down to 15.
I feel like I must be missing one or two more but still…
If your interpretation were correct, how do you plan to get 14 bonuses in the first loop to fund the other 14 loops?
My personal opinion is that the rule needs fixing. We threw it out there because it sounded like fun to try and get everything, we didn't even consider if it were possible, or how.

>>469 Yeah, I mean, if I do end up making a map, I'd have to solidify where areas stand sooner or later. Even though I want to push that it isn't concrete, I think people would be happy in knowing that there's something to work off of.

1. In order to get the alt. forms bonus, do I actually need to have the things which change appearance (e.g. taking p'orc bone is necessary for the alt. forms bonus) or do I just need the princesses associated with those things (e.g. taking human princess without taking the p'orc bone will still count towards the alt. form bonus)? 2. Can the princesses' abilities and personality change to fit their alternative form? (e.g. Plant princess becomes Shroom princess and gains the ability to induce hallucinations and mind-control, and mind-control becomes her fetish) 3. If so, could you draw some alternate form cards, even if they won't go in the official cyoa image? 4. Hey there Gats. Just stumbled upon this board recently and have been hooked on towergirls since I found it a few months ago. Love your artwork for it. Over the past year, I've been working at becoming a board game developer and making my own game. I've only had one under construction so far but, of course, I would love to make more. Seeing towergirls really makes me want to turn it into a real, physical game. I'm thinking a simple card game at first. My questions are: - Would it be alright to use your artwork for purposes of making a prototype and eventually turning it into a real game? -Do you have any other sites to follow? eg.Deviantart, twitter, facebook etc. -Would it be ok to keep in touch for purposes of discussing rules and gameplay mechanics, making sure they stay close to the original source?

Like, can she suck you in, prevent the conversion and let you out to roleplay one of those "impregnated with demons that start fucking the mom immediately after birth" plots? More seriously, based on the aging naturally note, could I assume that if I had it used on someone else they'd be in there for a while? As part of aging naturally is gestating for however long is normal for rabbit beastfolk? As such, would it be reasonable to assume I can use Moth Princess's lust bonus to determine how they come out? Assuming kinks created via Theater Masks, Imp princess, and Sphinx Princess stick I may be able to to inflict <3 incest on everyone involved, so there's not much of a problem there, and being able to remove physical negatives like bad breath or congenital insanity is very useful. Assuming they don't want to be rabbits and Moth Princess's bonus doesn't apply and/or can't alter species, there's always wishing for the ability to make it work, either via Funk Master or Wizard Master + Djinn Princess.

I want to check my logic for a tower princess run. The whole thing hinges on the fact that I do not have to commit shenanigans in the cart and that things that are not in the cart do not take up space in the cart. Also, that the Amythest Gossamer can be turned into a lust gift (any gift, right?). Step 1) Save Drider Princess (Amethyst Gossamer Free) Step 2) Octagonal Amulet to convince Slime Princess via Dicks Everywhere. Step 3) Save Human Princess Step 4) Acquire P'orc Bone for shenanigans Step 5) Acquire Mithril Rings with Amethyst Gossamer. Step 6) Visit Slime Princess in her tower. Convince her this is a good idea. Somehow. Step 7) Make rings alive and resize one to gate sized. This is Gate 1. Leave it in the tower with Slime and possibly Drider Princess. This shall be Gen I's base. If the spiders will follow me anyway, their princess gets to come with me. Step 8) Take small ring with me, which I shall call Gate 2, as I rescue princesses make it gate sized and get them to walk into it. They (and their loot) are now in the tower with Slime Princess. Shrink the ring and repeat step 8. Step 9) Once I run out of princesses take Gate 2 home or to a princess's castle, whichever has the required space. Set down Gate 2, make it Gate sized, and everyone can come through. Step 10) Relocate Gate 1 so I can drive the cart through it. Step 11) In a fit of caution, do not move a ring through another ring and instead Drive through Gate 2 to Gate 1's new location, shrink Gate 1, and acquire Gate Cart. I can leave this one where it is and just send everyone to my house during Gen II and beyond. They can even come along for the adventure. Note: I'll probably be picking choices to maximize my harem's ability to burn off its own steam. Even with tentacles I'd still have to deal with Awoo, Assassin Princess, and several cases of death by snu-snu not to mention the various Dragon Princesses and their mom. If nothing else, I'm sure Rabbit Princess loves kids. :V

Do any items have usage limits? For example, Phoenix Ashes seems really really good if it works multiple times, while a lot of the utility of the Rooster's Bell is lost if it only works once.

Viability of taking one of goblin princess' dowries as a free one, grabbing the second and going after boy princess and maxing lust for rooster's bell; and using the combination to "own" the competition (other knights).

On chart 4, the phrasing for rewards confuses me. You have to reject every reward to time loop, but "The rewards will not return." Does that mean time loops prevent you from ever getting any rewards besides Tower Princess (and presumably Dullahan and Primeval)? Does that mean I can't use Letters and More Letters in conjunction with my time fuckery? Are my dreams of Tower Princess in a swimsuit for naught?
