I prefer the backstory that he was a knight who was sent to rescue princesses from the Dragon Queen long ago, but bretrayed his kingdom and joined her side. But he isn't the DPs' father. He's a general for the Grand Tower Kingdom, and joined them because of wealth/power/conquest. I wouldn't go into much detail on his backstory so that people can make him what they want to be (like if they want to, he could be the knight's father, the DPs' father, or somebody completely unrelated)

My understanding was that Knights had Charisma (how suave / forceful their looks and personality are) and Prowess (their skill and strength with their weapon), while the Bosses had the same four stats as princesses (Love, lust, wealth, and power) that you essentially gained from them if you recruited them, and a Power stat for how difficult they are of a fight (basically all five knight stats averaged out, I'd guess, or at least stamina prowess and speed).
That's my take on it, anyway.

Honestly, I'm okay with a lot of stuff as long as it's not too 'out there' I guess. So stuff like pedophilia, scat, bestiality, rape, guro or incest are immediate NOPEs. I think just about everything else is fair game, though some stuff would need discussion, but I'm pretty open-minded.

Well, I guess it's workable. I guess it doesn't really need to be anything too special just because it'll be the starting image for the next thread.
More importantly, don't push yourself too much if you don't feel the mood is right. The stress will sap the enjoyment from doing art and dry your well of inspiration. I know from experience, I used to be a fellow drawknight, so take my pro-tip ;P You won't want to push yourself to the point I got, so take it easy. If you feel like it you can give it another go later, but don't sweat it. ^^
