I was wondering: Is there someone lurking here out of a general dislike towards images? Compared to text, I always felt like pictures were dirty; looking at them is an unpleasent experience to me. Therefore I have now blocked every image in my browser and am currently looking for alternatives to imageboard, youtube, ect.

One of the things I like about frequenting anonymous imageboards is that you get in contact with slices of life you normally wouldn't IRL.
Over the years I've talked to and read about veterans, crazed teens with suicidal thoughts, a guy who has been in living in her mum's house attic without her to know it, living off instant ramen; I've asked a killers maybe advice on how to properly hide bodies, or better yet on how NOT to hide them; and I've probably exchanged messages with tons of other types of people.
When I lurk, I find it exciting and interesting when people pour their heart in their posts.
So, this has been an idea I've had for a while, and this seems the best board to execute it.
I think itwould be fascinating if you guise could write diary entries about your daily lives, when you feel like to.
This thing may have some chances to revive this board little.
Of course I'm not starting because it would sound like attention-whoring, but maybe I will write something in the future.
I'd like to make almost a confederacy of sorts of boards, and I plan to make a simple "welcome to the board" type post,
but mentioning other boards we're in some way, shape, or form, connected to.
I'd like it if you guys could post in this thread with which boards you'd like to see mentioned.

I've been so focused on getting my life together that I've forgotten once again to try and get this board more traffic.
As another anon said, I think it's a good idea to try and post something every day to keep the board alive. The board has been around for over a year now, and I'd like to keep it going even longer if possible.
I had time to manage the board every day, and still do, but my memory is absolutely terrible.

For me, I don't remember how I got here. I almost want to say I saw an ad for it on 4chan (this would have been months before Septermber/gamergate stuff), but that seems somewhat unlikely to me. Maybe I saw a thread about places where you can make your own *chan style board, that seems more likely. At any rate...no idea what brought me here.
I stay because I'm addicted to image boards and this one feels much more cozy than 4chan ever did.

I’m at the end of my rope. The job market is brutal, I’ve been out of college for a year, have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and can’t seem to get a break. I had my first interview a few days ago and hours later after going through it I got rejected. I’ve been jobless for going on two years in a handful of months. Circumstance prevented me from getting more volunteer work and prevented me from taking on an internship which probably would had given me a greater chance of getting a job.
Now I’m taking a gamble on Patreon writing porn in an attempt to make a living wage and support myself. I don’t want to wake up one day and still end up living at home with my mother at the age of 40 with no means of contributing or having my own family. So I went about one other route to get a chance to support myself. But its hard...very hard.
I honestly don’t know where to begin. None of my friends will pitch for me and I can’t convince anyone to give me a shot, and I heard that its even more difficult for people to give money to someone on these things if no one else has even thrown down any money.
I had decided to get more serious in my pornographic writings and am working on a long story that’s porn with plot. All the smut WITH character development, world building, mythology and lore.

Yesterday I noticed that a skillful developer by the name of Josh is hard at work on the next generation of Infinity, titled Infinity Next.
I checked it out (it's under the bitcoin link in the header) and thought "oh this looks... different". I'm not sure if I like it or not yet, but I realized that eventually I'll have to completely recreate the /txt/ theme. Which may take a while because I'm not only busy a lot, but I have terrible memory.

Hello, homo/txt/uals,I'm out of ideas as to what I could be doing on the internet. I only visit a handful of websites, and these are beginning to bore me.
I used to visit quite a large number of boards, but as of now my regular go-to boards are limited to five slow boards with very few visitors (including this one). I desperately need more ideas, I have nothing to do right now.

Underage users on chans
I get the feeling that everyone has just thrown up their hands in the air and accepted that chans will always be full of underage users. The underage think that they're indistinguishable because they're anonymous, but it's incredibly obvious to tell if a poster is underage or not. You can always see them parroting other users in a desperate attempt to fit in and mentioning 4chan to their friends to seem 'cool', even going as far as to use memes in real life.The underage have no place here, and I believe chans would be a better place as a whole without them. Having said that, I first went to 4chan when I was underage too, but I would like to think that I wasn't as annoying or as easily recognized as the rest of the underage.

Do you take any supplements, /txt/? I've just started taking vitamin d3, 5000 ui a day. Where did all the textboarders go? The only moderately paced textboards in english that I know of are SAOVQ, and 4-ch's DQN, but those are just shitposting. Do you think the reason we make such a big deal about dying is because we live surrounded by inanimate objects? I've noticed that when I go for a walk in a park, I stop caring about things like getting old and dying and see it as just another part of a much bigger natural process. When we lose that connection, we start making things up, like culture and religion, but those things, being human constructs, can't properly fulfill that function. Many people in the West today, are almost completely isolated, they feel no connection to nature, religion, culture, in some cases even the people around them. Is it any wonder a movement like transhumanism has been able to gain so much traction in recent years?
