imo if we try to bring this place back to life, we should also try to revitalize some of the other textboards, like 4-ch. Not by advertising the shit out of them, but by just posting on them more.

Sure, not a bad idea. I feel like too many of the "let's make 8chan a better(tm) place" solutions basically boil down to "get shitheads from reddit" rather than getting our own members to post more.

And yeah, this basically became my favorite board thanks to that diary thread.

I've never really posted on other textboards that much. Another place I like with a somewhat similar feeling to this place is dreamchan, new imageboard. I still want this place to be good too.

Few move at a pace that warrants posting on them much sadly. Doesn't stop me from enjoying them and slower/smaller imageboards like the anon above me though.

Because boards can expire. They aren't deleted anymore, but after a while someone else can claim them, and that could either be good or pretty bad for those who used it before. Textboards have always been slow. It's pretty much in their nature. But there's no way to get around 8chan's system aside from posting.

The thread is about bringing this board back to life so it doesn't expire. I don't want the board to be given to just the next person who sees it. If I were to give it to somebody, it'd be someone who I'm sure could manage it well.

Posting on other textboards is fine, and I do that, but that isn't really the subject of the thread.
