>>738I'm not sure. But it's true that people are losing connection with nature. I used to feel really connected when I was a kid because all I ever did was play around outside. Now I rarely go outside.
The least anybody could do is own a plant in their room, but even then I wouldn't consider that enough.
I think being around nature plays a big part in how we think.
I went from only ever being outside to only ever being inside and online within about a week once I got my first laptop at age 13. I kind of felt like it was coming, and once I got stuck in the look it took 5 years to finally decide to get out and do something.
Having fun was climbing up a tree or house roof and laying back to think. Now it's listening to music and masturbating, or messing with strangers on the internet. I don't mean to make it sound like I think the internet is bad, because honestly I think it's one of the best thing to happen to me. I've learned so much from it, in a different way that I learned from nature.
I fully understand the "Its the internet I have to be an asshole because people don't know who I am" mindset and I use it to its full extent but I think when people are being as serious as they can be or trying to get a point across or change someone's mind I think they should try to be kind and calm, instead of yelling and insulting their views, because that only makes them defensive, not open.
I don't know where I'm going with this so I'm going to stop talking before it gets even more off topic.
I do think you may have a point but the first sentence still confuses me.
