 No.941

Hello, homo/txt/uals,
I'm out of ideas as to what I could be doing on the internet. I only visit a handful of websites, and these are beginning to bore me.
I used to visit quite a large number of boards, but as of now my regular go-to boards are limited to five slow boards with very few visitors (including this one). I desperately need more ideas, I have nothing to do right now.

Please post what you do on the internet. What websites do you browse? What else do you use the internet for?

Now you've made me question my internet activities.

I'm mostly on 8chan and listening to music.
I don't actually do a lot on the internet. It's just kinda the place I go to for news, music, and porn. Which is weird that it's about all I do, because I spend all of my time on it.

I'm usually in your position once a year at least. I feel like there isn't enough to do on the internet (that I know of) so I try to look/ask around. Most of the time people just talk about fun/interesting little websites that you'll be on for maybe 5 minutes max.

Somewhat recently I've started learning web development, and I've enjoyed that. I also love reading about history. There's a lot to read about, a lot of other websites to enjoy, it really just depends on what you're interested in. 8chan seems to have a lot of what I'm interested in.

I'm just waiting for summer to come around so that the traffic will (hopefully) pick up.

This poor soul doesn't know of the abominations called summerfags

Summerfags are a myth.

Also, it's really about what >>942 said. What are you interested in? It can be easy to get in an internet rut and find that the things you are used to doing aren't that interesting anymore.
Just go surfing, Anon. Start clicking links. Who knows, you may find a new hobby. Spend some time away from your regular places and when you go back to them you'll find so much to do and read.

I think i'm going to stop using the internet entirely. the only places I visit regularly now are 8chan and rpgcodex and my news feeds. other than that, all the sites i used to go on turned to shit and nothing on the internet is funny anymore. newfags really killed the spirit of the whole thing.

even 8chan is a bit more boring now.

Find a subject you care about and learn about it. Information has never been more accessible. Worried about your privacy? Look into VPNs, encryption and a customizable browser.

I'm browsing less and less 8chan for some reason, and I don't know why
Otherwise I watch Youtube videos and anime, read articles (mostly TVTropes), do hobby-related stuff and chat with people

 No.974

I've killed nearly all of my accounts on various websites this year after discovering that I do very little on the Internet anymore besides browse a few boards here, download/listen to music, and read/research stuff. I'm not one for forums anymore, I don't really play multiplayer games, and I don't use any IM clients or anything similar. Maybe I've just been online for way too long, but nothing (and no one) is interesting anymore. I don't care to talk to non-Anons because I know I just don't connect with them in any meaningful way.

Browsing chans and finding new music. I have also discovered lots of new hobbies through doing this, so I wouldn't say it was a total waste.

 No.982

OP here.

As of now my time on the internet is solely spent on browsing loads of slow chans. Other than that I download torrents and browse 2 moderately slow boards on 8ch. I'm convinced that this is the best I can possibly get out of the internet.

The way I see it, 8ch is on its way of becoming a second 4chan. The boards I used to go to are now no different from their 4chan equivalents. The fact that this board, among others, is being disregarded in favor of shitposting on the most popular boards proves that this site is going downhill.

I won't be posting here anymore.

I tend to program stuff whenever I feel this way. Somehow I convince myself I'll actually make something that will make being online more entertaining for myself and others.

Usually games, although recently I started making my own imageboard for some reason, and I've gotten further with it than I have with any other project, it's pretty much usable. But getting this far has really shown me that I completely lack even the slightest ability to shill anything I do, I just don't have the self esteem for it. So I should probably just give up on all my projects
