Well, it had a good run, and I didn't think I'd enjoy managing my first board, or even get this far. I expected it to get to maybe 20 posts then plop, and while it's never really been a popular board, I'm glad most who found it took at least somewhat of an interest and seemed to enjoy it for the while it ran. Which was uh... Sometime late 2014 to the second quarter of 2015.

I wonder what could be done to attract more posters. There is definitely less appeal to use a text board instead of an image board for your average 8ch poster.

First time poster and browser of this board, I'm sad that I missed it while it was still "living". I've never used a text board before and would have liked to experience one.

Also a shame it died so close to the 1000 GET.

The board is only dead if people stop deciding to use it. Whether it dies or not isn't really up to me. I used to try and bring as much (positive) attention to this board as I could, but not many were interested.

I would say it's very much like a guy said here >>>/secretrule/14133 that boards only die because people visit them while they're slow and assume it's dead. Kind of a feedback loop.

Me too. I've decided to not let it die for as long as I can help it. Especially since we're SO FUCKING CLOSE TO 1000 and that would feel like a great success to me. Just... No one inform /sp/ when we get close to 1111...

And I've also tried to post every now and then, but trying to think of a thread for a board with no set theme is pretty difficult. It could be news, entertainment (cartoons and music, for example), politics, etc. While I realize there are boards for those kinds of things, I feel like the kinds of news and politics posted here would be a little... Less /pol/ish?
