The BV did say this to me at the time. I thought that an obvious 8chan ad would be outright refused, so I tried to keep it subtle. I should have made it more obvious that it was an ad for a new place to discuss yuri without directly mentioning 8chan. I'll email one of the admins and see what they say. If they do allow 8chan adverts, I'll put a better ad together.
The challenge is going to be getting the "yuri without tumblr" message across, without directly insulting 4/u/, as I have done with the 8chan ads. I also need to make it clear that what's on offer is an alternative where things are done differently, not a direct replacement that is going to compete for the same userbase.

I must be. There's something that I'm doing wrong. To capcode, I need to be logged in and then type ## Board Owner in the name field. This usually gives me a tripcode. Maybe it's because I'm accessing threads through the catalog rather than the BO's interface.
Edit: Confirmed it. I can't capcode while using the catalog.
