Consider the state of the current world: shit economic situations, absurd social movements, terrorist attacks… Yuri is a small bastion of light in a vast sea of darkness, emphasizing a kind of pure, innocent love that reminds us of the good we're capable of, and what we're "fighting" for.
So yuri reproduces just fine, as its appeal fuels more artistic creations featuring it, and those with merit already created spread to all who wish for it.
