Because the SNP is pretty damned awesome. I looked into which party to join, and the only one which I saw that truly seemed to care about the people, the one which wasn't full of Oxbridge twats who are puppets for the party machine with no real leadership ability, the party that wants, and can get, a better Scotland.

From what I can tell, the geographical priorities of the big 3 are thus:
1. London and the Home Counties
2. Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and the other large cities
3. Rural England
4. Scotland
5. Wales
6. Northern Ireland

I support the SNP because of their sensible policies like more progressive taxation, scrapping Trident, their opposition to austerity and dedication to representing the disadvantaged in society.
