>>33Singapore is very close to the peak that a nation can achieve under modern capitalism.
It should be the nation that proponents of capitalism model their own nations off.
That being said. Because capitalism is the worst form of price system, Singapore could do much better.
Out of all currently existing nation states, I believe that Singapore has the best chance of being the birth place of a Technate. A lot of the things that would be found in a MTM Technate are already in place:
1)
A strong emphasis on multiculturalism.
2)
A emphasis on meritocracy and civic responsibility (Will greatly help integration into a Technate).
3)
A mixed industrial/service/administration economy.
4)
A non-bloated (unlike most NATO nations) military. That is still quite large and very modern. It enjoys a lot of love from its people (this will help in integrating the military with society under a Technate).
5)
A death penalty.
While in a Technate, a death penalty would not exist for most drug offenses.
The fact that a death penalty still exists in Singapore will help integration with a MTM Technates legal system.
All in all.
Singapore is a cool place.
