does anyone know any feasible way to grab Smg and go inna Sewer/Abandoned area/other urban area. Anyone know about exploring abanadoned urban areas, sewer, abandoned bunkers/shelters and other stuff like that. and any stories from urban exploration in general?
I'm from /k/ and Genuinely want to get more into exploring abandoned city areas cause as i've started to think the new era of exploration is exploring the unsustainable areas we have built. so any tips, and advice for a new person in this and any stories.

Im thinkin i might have to go check out streloks stash at some point. Any anons been there?
If anyone is interested, I made an e-book out of this, as I couldn't find a digital copy and happened to own it, and someone requested. It's not perfect, but it's 'complete', any future/improved versions will be in >>>/pdfs/906
If you have any feedback, find anything missing or out of order, let me know there or here, and I'll polish it up into a better final version. (I know a few images and the entire timeline in the appendix is fucked, new version will be in above thread).
I'm not sure who the money goes to, as the author passed 10 years ago, but for my own comfort here's a link to buy the actual book, and/or copies of his zine: http://www.infiltration.org/aaa-paypal.html
If there is an extreme amount of interest, I may purchase and digitize the zines in that link too.
Some RurEx and a question for board owner
I live right by a place with no name, where a bunch of people are basically living in sheds. There is part of it/near it that I have named the "Trash Maze". You walk into the woods a ways, following small foot worn trails, and you start seeing trash everywhere. Stuff like busted kids' toys, broken vacuum cleaners, the further you go in you start seeing evidence of small campfires, and useless things purposely strung up in the branches of trees. One tree has a bunch of coathangers all on one limb, an a mirror, and a bunch of cooking utensils, and a busted oven on the ground below it. You keep walking and you see CDs and bags hung up in trees and there is a spot with an open suitcase, with clothes pouring out of it and strewn all over the place, like someone stole it and then ransacked it for fun. there's a half-busted umbrella perched on a little chair surrounded by batteries and broken CD players, all kinds of stuff, all separated out by little footpaths. every group of trees/bushes is its own little scene of artfully arranged garbage that you cant see from far away, you can only see it if you get into the bushes. basically it looks like a bunch of goblins tried to build a village out of broken stuff they stole.Urbex can be dangerous
Yet again, we find ourselves with a reminder that Urbex is a dangerous activity. At the same time, these guys did it right. They called for help when someone was injured, and they're complying with police. Hopefully the DA doesn't try to throw the book at them.

What injuries have you sustained while exploring?
South eugene exploration
Hey /urbex/, I live in South Eugene in Oregon and I was wondering if anyone knew of any shit around the area? I'm within walking distance of the University and I dont much mind trekking long distances if it means getting something good, I could get a bike but I'm not licensed to drive at the moment, so if anyone knows of anything within long walking/biking distance of the university, that'd be appreciated
School
Heard this place needs more content. This was the spoopy school I explored. Not sure if it was worth it since the neighbor called the cops and I was in handcuffs for an hour trying to convince them that I wasn't a burglar trying to steal copper.Drain General
Continued fromINGRESS
You guys should check out Ingress if you like urbex.Have any of you Urbexed a factory before? Preferably while still running. A couple of friends and I scouted the area around one in the town we live in. We're curious in it due to the fact that there might be some interesting information about whatever the fuck in there. On the edge of the perimeter there is a building for telelcommunications, I'm interested in that. Outside the tele building there is a cabinet with a huge lock on it, and next to it is a big box that is apparently filled with rat poison, but the cob webs on it indicate it hasn't been touched for months. The factory itself is very large, frequently you can see workers entereing and exiting, and cars going through. In the twenty minutes we were there about ten cars left, also a train goes through, and whenever I get near the factory it's usually stationed. accross the street from the tele building is the cities packaging company, around the telecommunications is a fence with barbed wire, and inside the fence are many large busses and vans. I can get pictures Monday one of my friends has a pretty good camera and we can get good shots of the area if anyone's interested.
Pic related it's the map of the area
First Time
Hey guys. I recently explored an abandoned furnishing factory warehouse that I've heard about in my town. It was pretty neat so I thought I would share.
This was my first time doing urbex and I really enjoyed it. Definitely going to try and find some new spots.
And to add some discussion value to this thread, post pics and stories about the first location you ever explored.
New to the board, gonna dump a few of my adventures. I'm technically more of a graffiti wanker than a proper explorer but to be honest I tend to prefer the walking around than painting nowadays so sometimes don't even take paint any more.
This first one is from a burnt out theatre in a suburban part of Birmingham (UK)
I just moved to the south coast of England, Brighton. If anyone is from around here and want to head out together then let me know.
Legalities
Let's have a discussion on possible legal consequences for urban exploration.Road Trip
I've been taking a road trip through TX with family, and on the way to going where we're going have been plenty of neat places to stop and check out without having to detour too hard. I don't have full pick of destinations or durations, and my shit camera is my shit phone, but I can at least contribute to the board a little. Just started the trip so I'll be dropping by as time to permits to drop a few more.Spring cleaning
Hey guys, I made a few changes around here. Check out the board rules: http://8ch.net/urbex/rules.htmlHow to into /urbex/: Newfag edition
Sup /urbex/,Apartment complex
It's cold as hell outside but we said fuck it and went to this giant abandoned apartment complex. Built in the 1920's by Sears company for their black employees, it reminded me of a slightly classier version of a Soviet apartment complex. It's been decaying for a long time now and there's barely anything left. The ghetto
This week we went to the south side ghetto. Our original planned site was sadly under demolition when we got there, so we found some alternatives. First, an abandoned house with signs of drifters using it for sex and drugs. Then a huge abandoned masonic lodge, almost 100 years old, that's been crumbling for decades.Exploration Tips
So I live right by this place, I drive by it on the way home from class three days a week. It's haunted me from the moment I saw it and I would love to get inside, but the biggest problem (besides the rampant asbestos) is the fact that it's situated directly next to some kind of police/state trooper headquarters.Banner Thread
So, while the drain thing is on hold, I thought we could get a banner thread going (I noticed there is only one, not sure if BO wants more, hopefully he can let us know :D) I only have a few that I whipped up rather quickly, maybe someone with decent pictures can do better than me!Southern Indiana/Louisville area
So, a guy I know runs an urban exploration blog for the area. Figured y'all would be interested in it.Startup Help
So, to cut to the chase, I'm very interested in starting to do urban exploration, but have no idea where to start.Urban exploration protips
What are your personal tips for a fellow explorer?Rurex? Yeah, Rurex, whatever.
So in this thread, I wanted to chat a bit more about rural exploration. I grew up in Joshua, Texas and there's just really not a whole lot of exploring options when it comes to the more urban areas of the town, plus I lived way a bit out in the country, so exploring the countryside was mostly all I could do with friends.
