Current status of the silos ive been too since i posted this.
Site 1 complex 1A
Surrounded by a well maintained fence, adjacent to the waste management "dads" landfill. There were not any "no trespassing" signs, but you will have to scale a barbed wire fence to get into the complex area. Not sure about getting in, as i did not venture into the fenced area. Possible concealed access on the east side of the site, unlocked gate that leads to dirt trail along side the fence. Will report when i go back out there as to getting into the silo site itself. You could drive and park in a bit, out of sight of the road.
Site 1 complex 1b
Site is located on state trust land. Drove out to the site, the gate is locked but can be accessed by entering code SEAN into the second from the right padlock on the chain. I belive that the far right padlock is busted, and whoever owns the property just hooks it up to make it look like its locked.
Actual site has several fences and cow pastures on top of it, as well as some structures by where the elevator is. Silo doors are in cow field. Watch out for cow poops and rabid reactive targets AKA prairie dogs.
As for the underground complex:
Totally flooded. had to move a big chunk of concrete off the entrance, the ladder well that puts you down above the T junction between the silos. Climbed down the ladder, but the water was about 2 feet up from the catwalk. Water was REALLY clear, so i may be headed back to that one later on with some SCUBA gear and a set of brass nuts.
Site 3 complex 2b (deer trail)
Easiest access out of all so far. Finding the site is easy, drive out to deer trail and head out toward the site. It is located right underneath some high tension power lines. 2 entry points are available, one is the ladderwell that all these sites have and the other is on the east side of the site, where one of the tunnels was excavated some time ago for reasons. launch silo #1 is flooded, but the other two are accessible from within. Dusty and stinky, recommend a dust mask at least. Good flashlights and boots a must. All in all, probably the easiest to get into, enter the site from the west, go under what was once a gate of some sort. Drive around and park behind a couple hills that block sight from a few of the houses that are nearby. Bring penance for cockluthu.
