I probably gonna use this thread to dump my music later on for UTAU, I already have one on going WIP song but it took awhile to do polishing and fixing stuff since that song is somewhat complex. So I decided to move on to a new easier song from scratch, and maybe comfy and easy to finish. Hopefully it will sounds good.

Btw, I'm looking for someone who are capable to write decent lyrics for UTAU and perhaps can help me OToing to ease my work. My selection of UTAUloid singer would be Sukone Tei, Ritsu and Shion yowa and maybe using a custom UTAU made by an anonymous friend. (I forgot whats his utauloid name) as fuzzy background singer.

A song created by the anonymous hive mind of /utau/? Sounds interesting.
We'll need more info first though:
*What sort of subject are you going for? Happy? Sad?
*Our Lord and Savior Scottei has CV, VCV, and CV-VC voicebanks. Which one do you intend to use? (That's going to affect the OTOing process.)
*What language are looking for regarding the lyrics? Japanese? Psuedo-English (Tei, Yowa, and Ritsu don't have English phonemes but can approximate most sounds)? Your friend's UTAU singing English and Tei, Ritsu, and Yowa singing Japanese?

I can't decide what kind of Song genre, whatever idea floats the boat would do.

>Our Lord and Savior Scottei has CV, VCV, and CV-VC voicebanks. Which one do you intend to use? (That's going to affect the OTOing process.)

It's all gonna be VCV since obviously it sounds nicer on VCV.
I'm not sure what CV-VC is because I never tried it, i think it is where you can put plugin and trigger append effect on it I believe.

To make life easier on Otoing, I would prefer do it on Japanese ver lyrics. My anon friend utauloid is a vcv jap version, actually I felt bad for not using it for personal use since its already been produced like decades ago.

CVVC is an entirely new recording style that's designed to be smoother than VCV. It's mainly common in English voicebanks, but some Japanese UTAU users are starting to pick up on it too. http://utau.wiki/cv-vc

That being said, this probably doesn't affect you too much, since you're going to be using VCV with the other banks and trying to learn how to use Our Lord and Savior's CVVC voicebank for one part of the chorus might be overkill.

I myself don't speak Japanese, so I can't claim to be very helpful with writing the lyrics. But I might be able to help think of a theme.

Does it make any significant difference when applying it on Japanese vocal with CVVC? base from the source article, this thing is only good for english vocal because of its additional vowel consonants bank.

The fact that Our Lord and Savior has a CVVC voicebank in the first place indicates there's some advantage to be gained using CVVC for Japanese.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to test this out myself, because my Mac has decided to convert everything inside the respective ZIP file to mojibake.

I admit, I'm really am a shit at brainstorming. I'm not really good at creating all of these things in one go. Sorry for being so shitty because I suck at it. This is all I got so far from playing on this stupid keyboard.

I believe the osx version is called qtox, have you tried that?

here's the link https://wiki.tox.im/Binaries

at least you actually have a keyboard and are able to use it to some extent.

I paste my shit manually. It's tiresome and doesn't allow for trial and error much but it's precise and ideally gets the job done in 1 take.

So figure out how the vocal would be until chorus, but I still need to figure out the intro, because personally I don't think it sounds nice without an intro.

More work need to be done.

So I made something else which is a lot more simpler, please tell me what do you think about this song. Comment and criticism are welcome. If you heard any song that could caught my work into plagiarism, please do tell me and also provide me with the information about the known song. I'll try my best to remake my work into something else.

ps: I'll add the drum beat/bass later on after I received some of your comments in this thread, and maybe start thinking about lyric and otoing. If you have any idea about the lyric, please do contribute.

I like it. I think it's nice.

It's okay, what bugs me the most however is that the instrumental is screaming in your face about how it's been done on a computer rather than an actual instrument. You can partially avoid that by placing tones "slightly off" but that's for last anyway.

Don't forget that the flute should not be at the front when it comes to volume since it feels shoved down your throat since it's a shitty solo instrument (unlike the guitar)

>>327

Thank you for your input, I really need to consider paying attention into this so that the song sounds more natural.

I believe that the drum part needs to be reach on first where everything else are slightly off so that it will flow in nicely as it should be.

Are you still working on this? I'd like to see how it turns out.
