The rental shop makes sense story wise (reason is revealed at the end of the game) but not so gameplay wise.

Every boss fight was a breeze because the bosses were made keeping in mind that the player could be taking on that dungeon first. So every boss in Lorule (with exception to dungeons that need certain items to be accessed, eg water and sand dungeon) is made with the assumption you have 6 hearts. Their damage is piss poor and they roll over very easily if you upgrade your master sword.

Persona 4 tied it in with the Shadow selves that Nyarlathotep used to employ, but 3 basically said "they just happen." Also for no apparent reasons, most people only get one Persona at a time, completely destroying the purpose of the metaphor.

Most endgame enemies are humanoid and the bonus counts against players as well. The scaling on enhancement is also much better than that Basteer. The only weapons currently in game that provide more damage are the Liverto which rarely drop off boss scrolls.

To put it simply: Maximum enchantment level and enchantment effects.

The ultimate basteer may be better at low enchantment levels but as soon as you get closer to endgame that +7 limit will make that weapon almost worthless.

(Current limit for Yuria, Bares, ect.. is +15)

For early endgame you can either go with:

1. Bares, deals slightly more damage against everything but humans.

2. Yuria, deals a whole lot more damage to humans and is only slightly behind Bares in others.

(In pvp other players are considered human)

After you are filthy rich consider getting a Liverto.

Also as long as you are in the "safe" range (+7 for weapons, +5 for armor) you can recover all of the blackstones at a blacksmith with only loosing the weapon/armor.

Note that if you still have the ultimate basteer weapon when you hit 49/50 you will get a quest chain that rewards tons of weapon blackstones and allows you to trade your +7 ultimate Basteer for a +7 Bares and 5 weapon blackstones. (You can also recover the blackstones from the bares you get)

I'm coming up on finishing my glorious new gaming PC, and I was considering getting this game. However, when I looked up the classes on the game's website, every single class looked exactly the same by the videos. They all just jump around and perform impractical spinning maneuvers, with the only difference being the color of pixels. Can someone elaborate on whether this is the case or not?

So it's got more of a stealth/predator type thing going for it rather than frontline dwarven tanks.

To begin with it's a sci-fi game and not a dark age fantasy type thing. Basically you get three characters to play with, one's a dual hammer guy tanky-ish guy, one's a shotgun guy who focuses on knockback, one's a rogue type guy who I haven't had much use with. So far the tutorial seems to be the hardest part of the game because you play as one character at a time instead of all three.

It has this nice idea with space armor where if you take damage you need to spend some resource you find lying around to repair the armor, and the armor is divided into four layers and another resource can restore a layer(so if you've completely lost a layer you need to use the second resource to bring it back, otherwise you need to use the first resource to repair your current existing layer of armor, if that makes any sense.) Also skill trees and whatnot.

So far I dig it but I hate how you can't move the camera around and that both cancelling skills and camera rotation is both using RMB so it gets kind of iffy using it. I feel that the controls and performance are a bit off, and the pathfinding's kind of hard since the game, while beautifully detailed isn't so clear when it comes to what's what. Also the voice acting's really bad. One guy(smashfist) sounds like he's trying to do both a dwarven and a russian accent and it just ends up halfassed in the middle

Also I forgot to ask, are there any games where I actually can play a dorf and it not being a create-a-character type thing?
