Nah, the only thing I would consider mandatory are two pets, preferably three. You can get more than enough inventory slots from in game quests and the weight limit is all the restrictive. Though you'll probably go overweight on 4+ hour grinding sessions. The most p2w item in the shop is the ghillie suit. If you have the shekels, buy it.

Also pro tip from one valk to another, you can combo Celestial spear into a 3rd shit Sword of justice, a sharp light into a 3rd SOJ, Righteous Charge into 3rd SOJ, and punishment into 3rd SOJ. Those are more of less your Bread and Butter combos for valk. A 3rd hit SOJ can hit for 30-50% HP depening on how gear you are versus an enemy and whether or not it was a back hit/crit.

I can easily spare the money, but I can't justify buying the suit or any of the costumes, $30 for a character-bound item is absolutely disgusting. I've done a bit of research into optimal combos and what skills I should be leveling for PvP since there's no free total skill reset that I'm aware of, but I'll keep that BnB in mind.

Theres a free full reset at level 45 Pretty much max out SOJ, CSpear, Punishment, Breath of Elion, and shield throw. Those are your core skills and will be your most used skills. That should leave you with 100~ skill points short of the 500 point soft cap.

I don't know that that's true to any meaningful extent in the context of a B2P game. No one playing in the first place is in principle opposed to paid content, so it's really just a value proposition. The people who aren't buying it (assuming, again, it's a worthwhile amount of content) are the same people who aren't very invested in the game anyway.

Having said that, obviously a cosmetic-only cash-shop would be vastly preferable to the current situation.

The ghillie is pay-to-win but there's another free counter - ghillies still appear on radar while standing up.

The only way to be removed from radar is to crouch or go prone, which removes your name even if not wearing a ghillie.

The main advantage of ghillies is making it a pain in the ass to call out targets in large-scale PvP.

Dogs are actually worse P2W than ghillies, and probably the worst case of P2W in the cash shop, as they also counter crouching/prone-hiding players and provide effective ambush immunity.

Flares also counter ghillies (show names of players within a set area when tossed) but are only craftable when the mediah content patch arrives. A dev Q&A stated flares were a priority due to the ghillie response, so keep up the bitching on the forums and we might get them sooner. There doesn't seem to be enough whining about the pet/dog situation for a response any time soon.

Higher level increases the chances, but it's the horses combined level that determines that chance. Over 30 is decent, over 40 combined is recommended by all breeding guides.

Most endgame enemies are humanoid and the bonus counts against players as well. The scaling on enhancement is also much better than that Basteer. The only weapons currently in game that provide more damage are the Liverto which rarely drop off boss scrolls.

To put it simply: Maximum enchantment level and enchantment effects.

The ultimate basteer may be better at low enchantment levels but as soon as you get closer to endgame that +7 limit will make that weapon almost worthless.

(Current limit for Yuria, Bares, ect.. is +15)

For early endgame you can either go with:

1. Bares, deals slightly more damage against everything but humans.

2. Yuria, deals a whole lot more damage to humans and is only slightly behind Bares in others.

(In pvp other players are considered human)

After you are filthy rich consider getting a Liverto.

Also as long as you are in the "safe" range (+7 for weapons, +5 for armor) you can recover all of the blackstones at a blacksmith with only loosing the weapon/armor.

Note that if you still have the ultimate basteer weapon when you hit 49/50 you will get a quest chain that rewards tons of weapon blackstones and allows you to trade your +7 ultimate Basteer for a +7 Bares and 5 weapon blackstones. (You can also recover the blackstones from the bares you get)

I'm coming up on finishing my glorious new gaming PC, and I was considering getting this game. However, when I looked up the classes on the game's website, every single class looked exactly the same by the videos. They all just jump around and perform impractical spinning maneuvers, with the only difference being the color of pixels. Can someone elaborate on whether this is the case or not?

All the classes play hugely different from each other.

Valk stays behind their guard waiting for an opening then lays down some of the highest burst in the game while also being tough as fuck to kill.

Sorc has tons of dodges and teleports along with decent AOE and CC. If they get caught and knocked down, or stunned, they are dead.

wizard/witch traps enemies then lays down huge AOE moves. Not so good in 1v1, but will absolutely destroy everybody in group PvP.

Berserker uses dodges and charges to close the distance with an enemy. Then uses various grappeling moves to lock an enemy down.

Tamer kites enemies and use dodge+attack combos to deal damage. Meanwhile their pet is ripping an enemy a new one.

Ranger kite while using dodges and knockdowns to kil; their enemies. They have this shotgun arrow type move that hurts like a bitch.

I dont know anything about warriors. I dont see them in PvP and I hear they're gimped until they get their greatsword awakening.

Some classes have good match ups and hard counters. Valk is good against sorcs since guard gives a 360 CC immunity and they have a range stun + huge burst damage. They will sit and wait until the sorc fucks up, then its over. Berserker is good against Valks since valks sit behind guard which makes them slow. The berserker will use their dodges and charges that give immunity to CC to close the gap and beatdown a valk.

So tried the game out a little bit over the last few days.

Seems decent enough but didn't hook me quite well enough to consider spending actual money on to buy, and honestly I don't see this game lasting for more than a year or so in its current implementation as B2P.

If the game's future was more certain.. perhaps I'd consider it. But with Daum running the show it's only a matter of time until the game gets driven into the ground, so I'd rather not even bother investing my time or money to begin with.

Warrior are not gimped but OP, they have burst speed and they can play both offensive and defensive, so if you focus them they can just go on def and absorb most of your attacks then switch to offence and destroy you
