Old Rust was pretty damn fun right before all the public hacks came out and noobs learned how to cheat from people who actually knew what the fuck they were doing.
New Rust has pretty much been destroyed because it's been made nearly impossible to raid anyone who is well setup due to being on the server first. If you're not there first prepare to die endlessly as you build your shitty 4x4 base over and over by those who are already set up.
The players are all faggots now too, used to be we were all shitposting in chat calling each other nigger faggots, now say nigger in chat you get a bunch of limp wristed faggot 12 year olds crying "ur kos now u pice a shit racist BAN DIS FILFTH"
Once Redittors start giving suggestions to game developers and the developers start taking them seriously, it's all over the game goes straight into the shitter, as was the case with Rust.
Old Rust was great, though I only played it for about 6 months here's a good memory

Ive been thinking of getting one as well, had some good times in rust but all the big fucking servers ban you over the dumbest shit(even if its borderline RPing, like quoting the old testament, babbling about heathens and sodomites in chat and shooting anyone that comes into your holy desert with incendiaries)
Its been awhile since ive played, theyve changed a lot, i could use some input.
lastly, would anyone here be interested in a Rust bitcoin tournament or something? Ive been pondering such an idea for awhile now, originally for dayz but i think rust would be better suited. if you really wanted to up the ante this would be the way to go…
I could easily set up escrow with my poker site(small community I know admin), id fucking love to do something like this as a proof of concept, id even sweeten the pot or maybe do a small winner takes all where I put up the whole prize pool(like 50€ or keys or something)
