Video games are as influential as any other medium. Games can be made to provoke different reactions and gain different emotions. Just limiting them to "Video Games are just for FUN" because there is and audience here who give anything praise that is anti-SJW or makes their imaginary femenist caricature in their heads cry is just as stupid. I hate that this game is being advertised this way and being spammed the hell and back.

Just talk about the game feature, show that the game stands on its own merit, and let people come into their own conclusion instead of bringing up market controversy to sell your game.

Well, sadly we don't have a lot of gameplay footage so we have to wait and see. And to be honest, just people's reactions are enough, the game doesn't need advertising. Yes, there are even more violent games out there, but this one created special butthurt because the main character clearly states it's intention to kill everyone and kill himself after that.

Stupid people are just sensible to that kind of shit, muh video game morals, protect the children, enough is enough… you know the rest. The game is self advertising in my opinion.

that's kinda my problem. Its only making noise on /v/ not because of the merit of the game but because it's violent and violence stirs up controversy. for all we know its a basic GTA 1 or 2/Postal like game that is looking totally bare bones but it's going to get it's dick sucked because people have quotas and end goals they want made. Aside from that what else is there to talk about?

the game is just basic so far, there's no special hook besides it's a new 3D top down shooter like postal and GTA, i guess thats a niche to fill. What is there that really makes it stand out, the gray filter, the finishers?

If the death/crowd animations are good, and gives a nice enough shoot out feel I could dig it.

And even though I'm curious, I'm afraid how shitty the result could be if they decide to flesh out the character
