I'm completely new to this, bought my first vape on the third of this month, it's a Red Kiwi eClear SubTwin. Now my question is, how do I know when I have to replace the core? At the store I was told they hold up at least a month, the manual says around 10 refills. Will the whole thing break if I don't replace the core in time?

Public transport I can understand, but it should be left up to the discretion of the business owner if they allow vaping in their establishments. I usually won't vape in any place it would be inappropriate to smoke out of courtesy, unless the manager has given me express permission.

>>3802

Is that just for nicotine containing juice, or all juices? How do they reconcile a tax on PG/VG and Flavorings when combined, but don't have the taxes on PG/VG and flavorings independently? How much of a shit-show would it create if they did start taxing PG/VG/Flavorings and had the food and pharmaceutical industries breathing down their necks?

my guess would be its on the books as a luxury tax the same way you get taxed on prepared food in MA but not on ingrediants

>"Liquid Nicotine Product” means: (1) any electronic cigarette containing liquid, gel, or other solution that contains nicotine; and (2) any other container of liquid, gel, or other solution where the liquid, gel, or other solution (i) contains nicotine and (ii) is intended to be utilized in an electronic cigarette. The term “liquid nicotine product” does not include any product regulated by the United States Food and Drug Administration under Chapter V of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, 21 U.S.C. § 301 et seq.

It only applies to liquids that contain nicotine.

Donald Trump Nabs Key Endorsement From Vaping Congressman

>Representative Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), thevaping congressman in the pocket of big vape, today blew a sick cloud of e-ndorsement over the Donald Trump campaign.

>Hunter tells The Politico that he likes Trump in part because he’s sure Trump doesn’t care about him at all, which seems as good a reason as any to support him.

>Hunter, who got his first job in politics when he took over his father’s congressional seat in 2012, says he’s liked Trump from the beginning—if you can ever believe it.

Unfortunately not many devices support the auto-draw function. So you're stuck mainly with cigalikes and shit. Some egos have it, but they're older models.

If you're looking to get a fix while both your hands are occupied, all I could suggest is a higher nicotine level to help curve the cravings until you can use your hands again

Last thread is gone, apparently, so I'll ask: Do you guys vape in public?

I do it outside, but I usually don't if I'm in a restaurant or inside a store. It just seems kinda prick-ish to me to do it in places, though it didn't seem like anyone cared when a friend of mine did it in the middle of class.

Vaping is cyberpunk, it doesn't just look cyberpunk.

e14cb9 No.3819

On the one hand, there's something very cyberpunk about smoking a cigarette around so much shiny glass and plastic.

On the other hand, once you get to more powerful vapes, where you have to build coils and the batteries might not be officially for vaping, it gets kind of cyberpunk.

Hello all,

I came across an article earlier that really has me concerned about using e-liquid. Apparently a chemical "diacetyl" is used commonly as a buttery artifical flavor in popcorn and coffee and all kinds of shit. Its also in e-liquid. Well turns out inhaling the stuff is super bad for you, this guy who worked as a coffee roaster was exposed to it and inhaled it and now at the age of 40 he has the lungs of a 70 year old, can barely get around and so forth. And we're supposedly inhaling these chemicals directly! Anyone know for sure what brands may contain this shit?

9be084 No.3726

>>3725

This. There's about 10-100 times more diacetyl in cigarette smoke than in ejuice.

I'll go through the trouble of finding diacetyl free ejuice online but if I happen to walk past a good smelling ejuice in my local B&M a little diacetyl isn't going to deter me.

Only big pharma and big tobacco is blowing this out of proportion to force the FDA to crack down on vaping.

a13ebd No.3738

>>3719

>Diacetyl is part of some food flavorings. Not a single e-juice manufacturer makes a proper ingredient list on the label. So you can't know for sure if the liquid doesn't contain diacetyl.

To make matters worse, most E-Juice manufacturer buy their flavorings pre-made from food grade flavoring manufacturers. Most of those of those manufacturers aren't used to people inhaling their products, and don't really have the infrastructure to keep track of what's being inhaled vs. what's being eaten. Some of them just don't care, as there's no structure for accountability either - and it's not like juice manufacturers can really pay to have their orders tested.

There's been a few instances I've heard of, of juice makers buying what they thought was specifically diactyl-free flavorings, only to find out later that they were just sent a standard flavoring.

>>3725

Realizing of course that the thousands of other chemical compounds and thick tar in tobacco smoke might actually provide smokers with a protective mechanism by which Diacetyl wouldn't affect them as heavily as a vaper would who isn't exposed to those chemicals - even though they're getting a smaller dose of the chemical in a more isolated environment.

ce4897 No.3758

>>3703

Does anyone know of any online vendors that do this and have the juices tested by a third party?

ce4897 No.3795

File: 1456155655942.jpg (700.99 KB, 1400x600, 7:3, why didn't you test it.jpg)

Plebbit post I found:

>vaporshark sent every e-liquid that they carry and had them tested for diacetyl and acetyl propionyl. Some of the results came back EXTREMELY high. Some liquids tested positive from companies who have been saying their liquid was free of DA and AP. All test results are now on their website.

http://archive.is/hCsUS

Their website: www.vaporshark.com

Has anyone ordered from them before?

ce4897 No.3808

>>3795

Update:

I ordered from both vaporshark.com and virginvapor.com

Vaporshark shipped next day, and VirginVapor shipped a week after I placed an order (I'd be interested to compare a variety of vendors' shipping times, but I digress)

The VirginVapor package reeked of acetone. I haven't had a chance to steep the juices, so I can't comment on those yet.

I've never tried it but I'm sure if it's an optical smoke detector, the vapor will set it off because smoke and vapor look the same.

Just recently bought a sub-ohm mod (a coolfire IV-plus with a super mini tank)

What do I need to know to keep myself from blowing my face off?

Been using a sub 20W mod along with 1.6OHM coils this whole time (itazte mvp 2.0)

I really, really like the flavor and throat hit from sub-ohm'ing thus far.

I run it at 30 watts at a 0.24-0.26 ohm

8f6bc8 No.3778

>>3777

Unless you decided to tear the wraps off of your batteries for fun nothing is going to happen. Usually those accidents happen when someone uses a hybrid mech mod with an atomizer that doesn't have a protruding 510 pin, sometimes with a shitty battery to boot.

92ba8d No.3793

Today's devices are made to "sub-ohm", so it's fine. Also, I wouldn't expect innokin to put a 10A CDR battery in a 70W device.

Just don't use nickel (Ni) and Titanium (Ti) coils as they require a mod that support them.

What kind of liquid are you using with it (PG/VG, nicotine)?

801290 No.3781

Hey I'm new to the board but I used to do a ciggalike when vaping first hit the scene before it got stolen and I went back to cigs for many years. Back then I got a flavor from TW called green cow which tasted just like red bull. Beyond the 36mg nic I ordered it contained caffeine and Guarana apparently. I would hit this thing at a party once and be good all night.

I have never found anything to suggest that ejuice out there contains anything but nicotine but in those early days I remember finding b vitamins and even pharma like Cialias (vape a boner anyone?) so I'm interested to know more

f8c015 No.3784

>>3783

Ok, I should probably elaborate on that: Joytech (particularly their Evic line) has been overpriced and rife with maintenance problems.

I personally owned an Evic quite a while ago. Lasted less than a month. The area around the post would get so hot while firing that the rubber o-ring around the post melted almost entirely, and the mod was useless at that point. It would refuse to fire due to a short circuit.

Tl;dr, don't buy anything from Joytech. Get yourself one of those little Tesla Two rechargeable unregulated boxes and a Horizon Tech Arctic w/ the 0.2 ohm coils.
