Last thread is gone, apparently, so I'll ask: Do you guys vape in public?
I do it outside, but I usually don't if I'm in a restaurant or inside a store. It just seems kinda prick-ish to me to do it in places, though it didn't seem like anyone cared when a friend of mine did it in the middle of class.
Just recently bought a sub-ohm mod (a coolfire IV-plus with a super mini tank)
What do I need to know to keep myself from blowing my face off?
Been using a sub 20W mod along with 1.6OHM coils this whole time (itazte mvp 2.0)
I really, really like the flavor and throat hit from sub-ohm'ing thus far.
I run it at 30 watts at a 0.24-0.26 ohm
mad scientist reporting in here
im gonna be making my own e juice and im going to add vitamin b12 oil into my ejuice and find a good parts to what parts balances out.
then i will see if it absorbs into the bloodstream hopefully if it does i will feel more energized.
what do you guys think
Hi all. I have a Heatvape Invader Mini with a UWell Crown tank. It has worked fine for a few months but now, every time I hit the fire button, the wattage drops from 36 to below 10. It's infuriating and I can't find any information on the web about it. I've tried emailing Heatvape support with no reply, and asking around. Can anyone help me? Thanks for reading.
DIY Home Vape/Smoker
hey /vape/, i wanted to share a design with you tonight that I built back in 2013 when didn't have a smoking pipe and was on a tight budget.
> I had the idea while I was smoking with a friend and making a PB&J sandwich, the jelly was in a small mason jar like the one in the attached picture. It had a nice lid as well. The next morning I went out to find the magic item, a car lighter. I checked a car repair shop with junk lot behind it, I got access to the lot and checked a few cars finding a couple of them in good condition, clean, not used obviously. no cost since it was junked.
> I took my prize back to the house and cut off a 2 foot plastic pipe from some plumbing stuff once used to make a watering system for the yard.
> In the evening I finished off the jelly and washed out the jar very clean. Then I constructed the smoker machine. see the attached diagram. The method was easy to implement with pocket knife and some duct tape and some spare wire from the DC adapter.
>Cut two holes in the flat lid of the mason jar, one for the module to sit, on for the tube. Thread the wires through the hole for the module. Then attach the wires to it.
> The tricky part is pressing the back of the lighter module down so it sticks out, then you attach a stripped (no plastic) wire to the outside of the coil and then another wire to the metal framing. Since I did this almost two years ago I can't remember the exact design of the module, but I remember I had two of them and one had a slightly different design. The module I ended up using was the one you can see in the attached image with the coil showing. It should make sense if you know anything about electric circuits. The other end of this wire went to a 12v DC adapter.
I was doing some cleaning today and came across a collection of about 10 old cigalikes I used to vape on. It's been years since then, and I guess I was just keeping them for sentimental value. However, I seem to recall accounts of ecigs – not necessarily these kind of ecigs, but none the less – randomly catching fire? I'm not sure if that's true but my question is should I just toss 'em to be safe, or is there virtually no risk of that happening if I keep them?
Hello /vape/. So, I have been giving the whole eliquid thing another shot after getting a nice, new device for Christmas. For a long time I've stuck with the cartridges for their reliability and simplicity, but the downside is the lack of variety of flavors, cost, and inferior vapor production. However, less than a month after switching back (this is the second time I've tried using them) to more complicated products – I'm not sure what to call them, exactly, sorry – with separable tanks, coils, and batteries etc, I find I'm once again being let down by the same problem I experienced the first time I tried using them. That would be, the lifespan of the coils.
For example, the last 3 coils I put in my tank, on what I believe is called a box mod, only lasted me literally about 8 hours. After that, they began seeping liquid continuously and clogging up the suction. I'm afraid to draw a decent hit for fear of getting a mouthful of eliquid. Why does this always seem to happen so quickly for me? What is the solution? And how in the actual fuck do none other vapers I know or have ever met IRL ever seem to have experienced this problem themselves? They all tell me coils should last 2-4 weeks, but to me, based on my experience that's must be fucking bullshit.
tl;dr my coils don't even last a single day before changing them what am I doing wrong?
pic tangentially related?
What's a good ejuice composition to pick given the following options:
60/40 PG/VG
100% VG
20%PG/80%VG
And also what's the difference between each, please? I recall my brother telling me something to the effect that one or the other – I don't remember which, but for the sake of example let's say PG – provides more vaporous hits while the other is more about throat hits? Is this true or does it sound like complete nonsense? Thanks
Looking for a new piece
My vape pen is getting pretty worn out and boring to use. I'm wondering if there is a kind of piece that would let me choose to smoke both weed and e-juice with. I know that there are vaporizers that let you smoke weed, but I'd hate to put the rest of my e-juice on the shelf permanently.
Pic is orange chronic, which is what I'm using (not my picture)
Relatively cheap way to start?
So, what's a good way to get started? I'm a bit overwhelmed with the talk about building it and all that, i just want to buy something to get started to see if vaping is actually for me…
I would like to buy something where i can get a decent taste and clouds without the hassle of having to build my self. I would want something that isn't disposable so i can experiment with flavors and so on. I'm fine with both battery powered and rechargeable. Not sure which is better overall and for getting started. I have a somewhat limited budget so i don't want to spend any more than 50€ on the vape/eCig w/e you call the things plus some juice. I don't want nicotine in the juice, since i'm not looking to replace smoking (i'm not a smoker nor have i been)…
Are there any good brands that i should consider or anything like that…? Are there big differences in juices? Also, if possible the place where i buy from should deliver to Finland relatively cheap. And it must deliver to Finland, period. That's where i'm lurking from…

Dripping
I have been dripping for a year now but I still face the same problem : when do I add liquid to my coils and how much?
My build is currently .25ohm with two coils, if that helps you to answer my question.
I always end up flooding the RDA because I'm afraid of getting a dryhit.
Picture shows my dripwell.
Hey guys, new to vaping, and I want to know how to reduce the throat hit which really is too agressive if I wanna blow a big cloud.
I have three juices : ben jonsons cream (which is imo really disgusting) and blue crush and vanilla ice from uk ecigs.
Blue crush has no nicotine and is way easier to vape.
Maybe this has something to do with my setup or something? Running sigelei 75w @ 30watts and 130C with the kennedy atomizer.
or maybe its the cotton, which is really badly set up by the way *the cotton was way to big for the coil couldnt get it thru*
anyway, thanks
>nicotine be really hitting me like image
Hey I think I just dicovered an easy way to detect if there is diacetly in an e-juice. take a big hit and then blow the vaper onto the back of your hand. then smell and if there is a popcorn butter smell then there is diacetyl. I have detected in at least the Artist Collection series.
all right you pleb fucks
We all know that the Evic VTC mini is a god tier mod. Fuck overpriced dna and sx350j shit.
I need to know how to make a good stainless steel build for my chinese shit kayfun 4. made a shitty microcoil with some low gauge ss wire but i don't remember what kind it was. The temperature control is fucked and I don't know what's wrong. I know that the new firmware is rather tested with 304 ss or whatever the grade it is. so anyways halp
pic rel with my gf. currently using the subtank mini because it's more comfy
MVP 3.0
Got my MVP 3.0 a few days ago and I fucking love it. Does anyone here have one?
My old EVOD batteries I got in a starter kit started dying so I finally got around to buying myself something good. I was thinking about an eleaf 30w because it's very similar in most aspects and also seems to get a lot of praise. But honestly what put me over the edge on the MVP was that the eleaf just looks too tiny for my rather large hands. The emergency phone charge thing you can do with the MVP also seems like something I'm going to get a lot of use out of. The huge difference in mAh is a factor too, 2200 vs 3800 is insane.
Anyway something I noticed that I didn't know about higher quality batteries is how there doesn't seem to a "buildup time" from when you hit the button. My old EVOD's always took ~1 second until they were vaping properly, as well as getting really hot during prolonged vapes.
Alright enough shilling.
Hello fellow /vape/ lords.
Today I have decided I will pick up vaping.
I have read the sticky but I cant seem to find the adequate mod/at for me .
Wherever I read , I see that most vapo users have to constantly replace the mods or atomizers, and since I asked a friend of mine to get me a vapo kit (or ill do it myself, hes going to Europe and I am from South America, hard to get parts here) from Amazon, I wanted to know from your experience what Is the most durable mod/atm you found. Im willing to spend 120 dollars, but could spend a little more.
I would prefer a RDA.
>pic unrelated, i love this chick tho

this is urgent
Figure you guys will appreciate this little story about how stupid some people are. It involves my mother, since I am living with the family at the moment so I can dedicated all my income to paying off school loans in record time. Mind you, we previously agreed that I would keep all my vape shit in the car, tank included, except for my battery, which obviously must be charged inside. She's already been one to say that thing will cause cancer to the whole family if I don't, so I just keep it in the car out of respect for her home, much like I do my weed. It's just courteous, even if she is a fucking loon.
>come home after being at vape shop/lounge
>mother comes up to me, noticeably upset
"Anon, I just saw on the news that those things explode all the time!!"
>"the fuck are you talking about ma"
"They said on the news that those things are wildly unstable and can catastrophically fail at any time! I don't want you charging the battery in the house anymore"
>"So you're telling me that you're afraid of a rechargeable battery because someone on the news said so
Literally tells me "Yes, they said it blows up, so now I'm concerned"
>"you know smartphone batteries explode all the time, I can even find articles entirely about iPhones blowing up and literally killing people"
"But it's not on the national news, is it anon?"
For about 10 minutes I listened to her frantically tell me that my battery will magically explode for the simple reason that it's used for vaping. I eventually ceded that mech mods can do crazy shit if you are an idiot with them, but she's so stupid that I think that may have hurt more than helped. She then threatened to literally kick me out if I charge the battery in the house. I'm just upset that toxic media/reporting has managed to make an adult this scared of a rechargeable battery.
Juice Reccomendations
Heya /vape/ I haven't been vaping that long and I'm looking to find some new flavors to shake things up with. Recently all I've been having is budget menthol mint mixes. Now theres nothing wrong with those but as the seasons change and the temperatures decrease I've been finding that the menthol coolness gets unpleasant when you take a breath of crisp fall air.
Which brings me to the question. Whats your guys favorite ADVs? Are there any good coffee flavors to be had?
Pic related, its one of my favorite flavors, I'm just looking for something new and fun.
Am I doing it right?
Just got the Kanger Subtank Mini about 3 weeks ago. I love the ease of use, and flavor I get using this thing, for about two days or less. I feel like I have to rebuild this thing every day or so because after 42 hours of casual vaping my coils look like pic related.
I've heard people say they run 20+ tanks through their subtanks using the RTA section, and others say they go months before they rebuild their tank, and say they only do it because of boredom.
I have to constantly rebuild my subtank mini because in two days or less time it starts tasting burnt and gross.
TLDR: What am I doing wrong? Is it normal to have to rebuild this often because of a burnt tasting coil with casual vaping?
Specs:
7 wraps of 28g Kanthal
1.4ohms
japanese cotton
vaping at around 4.2v (12 Watts)
High Wattage Coil
Got a pretty nice 7 wrap parallel dual coil .47 ohm coil. It's good, but I want a build that I can put out at 140w or more without burning my cotton. Is there any high wattage builds that you know of, or is burning cotton an inevitability when working with such a wide coil?
510 spring loaded center pin stuck
The center pin in my iStick 100w is pinned down, when screwing in 0.30ohm atomizer, it starts jumping at between 0.31 to 0.34 thus making unstable WW.
Even the slightest touch makes the ohms to start jumping around.
Is there any way of straightening the center pin?
It's spring loaded.
My battery is dual Sony US 18650VTC4 30A 3,7V 2100mAh.
Do you vape while you masturbate?
I highly recommend it. I also have a fleshlight and there's nothing like getting sucked off while blowing huge clouds.
also why do most people into vaping look like pic related? it's kind of embarassing saying i'm a vaper to people and having them associate me with these types of fags.
Kanthal wire what kind of
I'm going to buy my first dripper for my iStick 100W and I need some help with choosing my wire.
I'm going to try dual coil for my first setup and I would like to use it with maxium WW that my boxmod can give.
So the question is, what kind of Kanthal wire would you suggest me to use for my dual coil setup at 100W and how many ohms my mod should read it?
My dripper is going to be Mutitor X V2.
What can i do to make this board better for everyone? any recommendations? i know i haven't really been too active. i've been going through some money troubles and dealing with getting into school. if there is anything i can do to make your stay here more comfortable let me know.
Upgrading
As of right now i have a 50w istick with a plumeveil on it, and i'm pretty unsatisfied. I'm going to sell my plumeveil and I want to get a rebuildable tank, then get a better box mod and a good cloud RDA that I can build low on. What are good tanks/RDAs/box mods out now? For the RDA i was thinking of getting the twisted messes. It's got a decent price, and tons of room to build with good airflow. As for the box mod and tank, I'm clueless. I don't really need all of the temp control form the ipv4, I just want variable wattage
Hi /vape/.
Background; Long story short, Been smoking off and on for 4 years, had a stent of 8 months where I vaped constantly. Used a MVP2 with an Aspire Naut tank. I switched to a mech mod which was a Tug2 with some knockoff mod. That didn't go so well, so I'm back smoking.
What I need help on is; I dont fuck with mods, and buying batteries and shit sucks, but I want big clouds with low nicotine to kill the need to smoke.
Is this a decent setup to go?
http://www.aspirecig.com/products/MOD/mod185.html
http://www.aspirecig.com/products/Atlantis/atlantis183.html
I have a few friends who rave about them but I just want to see what a general community standpoint is.
When I did vape, I was on 18mg 50/50 for the MVP2, and a 6mg 100VG on the drip. I know I should stick with as close to 100VG as possible but I want good flavor. Any other recommendations on good sites to get juices? I know Mtn Valley Baker and Vapor Chef are what I used online.
>mfw I wanna quit smoking so bad.
First vape build
I want these:

http://www.vapor-hub.com/product/26650-battery-vamped-65-amp/
All I need to try and understand is what the differences between the different gauge wires is and do I need an ohm reader? What do lower ohms really mean and if I don't go sub ohm will i need a different battery?
New to vaping.
How do the 16850 mods compare to something like an istick 50W? Can they produce the same watt output on a single battery, or will i have to find a mod that can hold multiple 16850s?
I like the idea of keeping extra replaceable batteries around, but i'm afraid they won't compare well to a dual battery setup like the istick.
Are there mech mods that have safety features incorporated in them, such as no autofire or the 10sec shutoff?
Recommendations for 16850 mods would be helpful. There seems to be a million of them. I take it they don't affect the build much, as their just a case for the battery right?
Christmas giveaway!
So, i've wanted to do something like this for a while, but a kind anon finally gave me some good ideas.new to RDAs and kind of spooked
Hey, Im new to RDAs and dont want to rape my face with a battery because I dont know what I am doing. I feel that I have a pretty good understanding but just want to run some numbers by people who are more experienced with this shit. I will be running an Efest Purple IMR 18650 20A 3100mAh 3.7v flat top and am wondering how hard I can push it. After calculating, the lowest ohms I can go is .21 and thats at the batteries top limit of pushing 20 amps. I will most likely be running around .3 or so ohms so I should be fine (or so I think). Please correct me if I am wrong.Reccomend a new vaper best glass bottom coil tank?
i started vaping about two months ago. started using a shitty vapage battery and cheap plastic tank i bought at a local tobacco outlet, and used green leaf ejuice. about a week ago after starting new job, i ordered an mvp 2.0 online along with a dozen or so bottles of mvp juice, and a protank 2 with a 5 pack of coils. my problem however, is that i think i probably broke my protank trying to twist it off after getting stuck. i swear almost every time i went to twist the tank off to clean or refill it, either the base would get stuck to the battery or the bottom metal piece would get stuck to the base. i had to use a fucking pair of pliers every time to get it off. a few days ago while twisting the protank off with pliers, i heard and felt a pop/crack, after the tank came off, i looked and this metal ring piece that used to be attached to the bottom is now loose, you can see it in the lower left hand of the pic and in the second pic as well. does this sit back on somehow or did i break it off?Why don't i get more vapor?
Alright, so I just made this build a while ago, and as you can see it is a 24 gauge kanthal parallel coil. This should be like 0.1 ohm. I am firing it off of a Chi You clone on my Tobh V2 clone. I am using a VTC4, and the vapor production is nothing like I had hoped. The Tobh is not modified in any way. I think that my mod may have massive voltage drop or something, because this should blow clouds. Can anyone see anything wrong with the build?
