So I was passing my vape round last night and my friend passes it back to me saying nothing was coming out, the mod was hot so I pulled the battery out right away and put it in the corner. I put a new battery in and it fires just fine. So we go outside, have a few cones and I go to vape and the battery is hot again. I've been vaping on this build for about a week now and haven't had issues. Now it won't fire at all, it doesn't matter which rda/coil I use nothing happens and the batteries refuse to charge so i'm guessing my batteries are dead. Does anyone have any idea why this might have happened? The build was a 0.4ohm microcoil on a tugboat v2 and sentinel with sony vtc 3 batteries.

There is a very good chance that 1 of two or three things is happening.

1: Your coil could be causing a short which is going to fry your batteries.

2: Your mech mod is having some issues with the firing pin and causing it to short

3: Your build may be too low of of an ohm for those batteries. For lower builds it was recommended that you use VTC4's, VTC5's, or VTC6's rather than VT3's.

Adjust your build a little. Adjust your firing pin inside your mech a little.

it's got the panasonic pf's as 5amp continuous. They're easily good for 10A continuous. They've even been tested ok to 20A by plenty but still rated at 10A none the less

Thanks for the suggestions guys

I'm fairly sure nothing's wrong with my coils because it wouldn't fire my magma either which has been fine for weeks. I'm assuming it was the mod but I can't test it now because my batteries are fucked.

>>1861
I did actually take a look at this and I assumed my build would be fine. I ran it for about a week pulling the battery out occasionally and every time it was stone cold. I found a store selling efest purple 35A discharge, has anyone got experience with these?

I haven't had experience, but, ever since the VTC series batteries were stopped being made, every vape shop, mod user, and general vapist that I've come across has sworn by the Efest Purple batteries.

Thanks man, I think I might order a couple tomorrow. I'll still have to wait a few days though. The power supply in my computer died last night and my headphone amp broke a few days before that. I'm fucking over shit breaking man, my vape batteries dying just topped it off.

Good news, I spoke to the owner of my local vape store which just happens to be the only brick and mortar vape store in NZ and about a 30 minute drive away. I can get a vtc5 for $20ea or panasonic 18650NR for $22ea. Anyone had experience with the panasonics? Can't find anything on them and they're not in that table.

i use Panasonic NCR 18650 PF 2900mAh. I get them from supersports600 ebay they have a good reputation. where ever you get them 22ea would be considered expensive, should be getting a pair of them for that price. I don't build below .4ohm so panasonics pf's do me good. All the other panasonic batteries aren't high drain as far as i know.

XTAR (Sony VTC4 rebranded) are the best option right now for batteries IMO.
