It's all personal preference, I started on 36 now I'm around a 6, and I drip a 3.
If I were you, I would try a 12.

I normally vape on 12mg, but when I'm drinking, and therefore vape a lot, I usually use 6mg. 18mg is just too much for me, even though I used to be a smoker.

18 is usually what smokers get to quit…that's a pretty high nicotine content.

sure, eventually you will subject yourself to the punishment so long your body accepts the input and it becomes a habit, and you adjust to that level of nicotine. however i would advise that you step it down to 11 or 6 even.

if you are really not a smoker, vape 3 or 6 mg juice. should be sufficient for a nic buzz without the neausea. I vape 0 unless I want the nic buzz.

Reading things like this make me reconsider my knee-jerk reactions to reading the "ridiculous" claims of some studies which suspect that vaping may end up causing more people to get addicted to nicotine. Still doubt it'd lead to smoking cigarettes, but… shit, even IF the flavor is deprecated a bit (I don't think it is) - why get addicted to a worthless substance when you don't have to? If you want better flavor, start dripping, and throw that 18mg shit in the trash. Don't bother trying to dilute it. Just get rid of it, buy some 0mg juice, and consider it a lesson learned.

Anyhow, I started on 24mg last June to get off smoking, and I'm down to 6mg now. I stepped down from 12 a month or so ago, and I'm taking a lot more puffs to compensate - but once that evens out, I'll drop down to 3 and hopefully be to 0 around the 1 year mark.

I vape at 0mg usually, but I got some 6mg left. I started with 12mg, that was wayyyy too much for me. Even the 6mg is very hard after 5-10 hits. I dont like 0mg that much, I'd rather pick up some 3mg but I dont have 0mg and 6mg from the same liquid to mix it 50:50

For you, perhaps, but this is the third instance of such that I've seen this month. My niece started vaping to help encourage my sister to quit, and ended up becoming addicted to nicotine after sharing and mixing their juices. There's also a guy who does the flavor mixing for a local B&M who I talked to recently. His wife got into vaping to help quit, and built the business out of that, but he never smoked. He ended up getting addicted by necessity of having to test his own mixes.

I've also seen the shitheads at another local (more hipster douchebag oriented) B&M sell a 6mg solution to some young cloud-chasing fuckbrain who didn't smoke but wanted that flavor and didn't think it'd hurt anything.

So, yeah, keep your eyes open. To you it might just be anecdotal. To me, stupid fucking people are starting to validate, at least on some level, those knee-jerk fears being pushed by the anti-smoking groups.

I got the sample pack in the mail the other day, went through all of the flavors. It's not good quality stuff, the flavoring agents are the cheapest you can buy and they don't use any blending agents or softeners, it reminds me of the taste of my first vape, on account of how harsh it is.

I'll let them steep for a few weeks and get back to them, but out of the mail, they just taste like beginner DIY juice.

I started with 24mg fluid, usuallly 70 pg to get me the throat hit that a cigarette gave me. Over time I've gotten lots of different flavors and dropped the nicotine level, I am now down to three, and I can survive a desperate situation where I run out of juice and have to depend on the samples from Mt. Baker Vapor, which have 0 nic.

What really helps is that I innovated my setup from an MVP 2.0 with a Kayfun clone by cigreen, to a MVP 3.0 with both the Atlantis and Subtank Mini at my disposal, and a now sub ohm kayfun.

I started with 0. Went to 6, got hooked in 12 for a while. Then I whined myself back down to 3s. I switch between 3s and 6 now.
