Alright, so I just made this build a while ago, and as you can see it is a 24 gauge kanthal parallel coil. This should be like 0.1 ohm. I am firing it off of a Chi You clone on my Tobh V2 clone. I am using a VTC4, and the vapor production is nothing like I had hoped. The Tobh is not modified in any way. I think that my mod may have massive voltage drop or something, because this should blow clouds. Can anyone see anything wrong with the build?

The build looks nice. It's very clean looking. Wicking looks nice. Try tightening your screws? Also, try adjusting your airflow on your TOBH. Only thing I could think of. Also, if you haven't, INVEST IN A MULTIMETER/OHM METER. They are SUCH a great thing to buy.

Thanks man, really proud of this build too. I have tried tightening the screws, it is just proving very difficult due to the phillips head being unusable on both the negative posts. I have to use some quite annoying methods to fasten them, but I do believe they are fastened well enough. Airflow is adjusted as it should be. And yeah, I really should get a multimeter. Got any good (cheap) reccomendations?

dual 24g kanthal takes forever to warm up, since the cord has a huge inner surface area.

I have made dual 24g coils from kanthal and never been impressed. my friend says bigger cable needs nichrome or gplat/ss wires to heat up and blow vapor well. I haven't experimented with non-kanthal yet. I had the most luck out of quad 28g wires.

Make sure all the contacts in the mod and atty are clean, any place where things screw together. Could be a short or something fouling somewhere.

I agree that is a lot of wire to heat, but if that really is a 0.1 ohm build, that shit should fire up instantly.

The only way to know for sure is with a multimeter. I got one at harbor freight for like 5 bucks. I doubt the voltage drop in the mod will be enough to completely kill that build.

Whenever something isn't firing right, it's almost always loose connections. Gotta crank those suckers down tight. Get a screwdriver that fits.
Only other likely possibility is a shitty spring loaded switch.
Dual 24g parallel at 0.1 should be around 230mW heat flux. I'm running dual 26g parallel, at 0.21, similar heat flux, spits plenty of vapor.

bit the bullet on some nichrome 80, 26g.

made a dual parallel coil, .23 ohm. 5 wraps. nichrome beats the fuck out of the kanthal in terms of heating up fast. just dry burning the coils they heat up much faster than my quad 28g kanthal build. after wicking, it's crazy: I hit the button and clouds come out with basically no lag.

the quad 28g kanthal coils came out at .12 ohm.

the nichrome wire seems to put out less of the heat into the mod and more into the juice. I have no idea how.
