Hello! Wondering if anybody in university vapes in their dorm room? I'm thinking about covering the fire alarm but I'm concerned if it will go off by cutting the airflow or whatever.

I've never tried it but I'm sure if it's an optical smoke detector, the vapor will set it off because smoke and vapor look the same.

We used to just duct tape a Tupperware container over it when we smoked weed in the dorm. Don't know if smoke detectors have changed much in the last decade though.

Also forgot to mention that you shouldn't leave it there 24/7. Our RA didn't care but if the Hall Director or fire department stopped by for some random inspection or something and saw it youd be automatically evicted from campus housing at my school.
