So I'm looking at getting into vaping.
I rather like this one, the EGO CE4S-KT, so I'm thinking I'll pick it up at the start of november, since by then my pipe tobacco should be half gone.
I usually smoke Captain Black Gold. Anyone have suggestions for e-liquids to start with?

3c663a No.938

i would recommend not getting that vape tbh. i would recommend getting into mods, you'll most likely be much happier. as for juices, try Hawk sauce from mountbakervapor.com

Or if you do not want to get into building and mechanical mods, I would recommend the MVP 2.0 by innokin. Super long lasting battery life.

2391ac No.940

>>939
A lot of that is stuff I can get into later. I know a few places I could go for machining custom parts for this one, personally, and it does seem a good starter kit for being on a small budget. As for the electronics, that's all stuff I could fairly easily make myself. I don't smoke terribly often as is, and I'm unlikely to vape much more often, so battery life isn't much of an issue for me.
Is it difficult to find mods for the EGO system? What purpose is there to modding the e-cig?

0210a1 No.944

>>940
The vape pens are super straight forward, you don't mod them.
The modding is completely different.
>The reason I like the MVP is because it is VV/VW so you can adjust it to get the right hit for you.

If you want a smoking alternative pen vapes are fine and work for a lot of people.

I as a pack/day smoker found them to be a little lacking and graduated to mod/rda vapes. Which is what works for me.

As far as what pen vape to look into I can't really help you. I had a kanger tech and it was aweful, that's all I can really say.

You are never really going to find a juice that feels like tobacco so I, personally, don't see the point in even trying. My first vape, the kangershit pen vape, I got a tobacco menthol. It was pretty damn good on the kangershit, but terrible on a drip. Even still it was nothing like smoking a cigarette.
That being said a lot of people quitting smoking go for tobacco style flavors so there may be something to it.
So, which one to get, I can't really tell you. It's all about your taste. I prefer lighter juices with a fruity flavor usually. I don't care for cremes or custards and regularly I have people recommend cremes and custards to me like they are the best thing since sliced bread.
It's good for them not for me. So, you have to make your own path on this one my friend.
My advice, find a vape shop near you that lets you sample the flavors.

If you really want to "get into" vaping skip the middle man and get a mod/rda vape. It's more complex but there are tons of online resources to help you and I'm sure plenty of people on here would be willing to help you as well.
Otherwise, a pen vape can be a good option for you, even if it's only a starter.

>>940
When we say "mod" we aren't referring to "modification(s)."
I don't know how much you already know about pen vapes but they essentially come in two pieces: the battery and the atomizer.
Our mod is in essence your battery. It hold at batter and supplies power to our atomizers, which are a bit different than the atomizer of a pen vape.

I'm not the best at downing my speech to be understandable to all, so if you need any clarification to what I've said or have any additional question, fire away and I'll be glad to help you anyway I can.

I wish you the best of luck and a warm welcome to the family.

I'll have to agree with the other anons in this thread that getting a vape pen might not be ideal. They're simple, but so are a lot of other AVP's such as the MVP 2.0 that >>944 linked which are a lot better.

That's a fantastic starter kit that probably wont make you want an upgrade after a few months of vaping while still not being more complicated than charging your battery, filling your tank and finding a voltage/wattage setting that suits you.

I've heard some good things about the iClear 30 that comes with it but personally I'm a complete Nautilus Mini fanboy. That thing is amazing.

As far as the MVP, I looked it up, and I don't like it. I find it both ugly and unneccessarily complex. Part of what makes me like the idea of vaping is the design of the pen type. Simple, portable, and works with the press of a button.
I've never been a pack a day type of smoker. I've never been big on cigarettes, though I've been smoking cigars for a couple years. I ended up switching to pipe tobacco both because I was smoking two cigars a day and irritated at the cost, and because I was interested in cutting down. I now pay about 30 dollars for a package of pipe tobacco, and it usually lasts me between two months and four months, depending on how often I smoke, which is typically only a couple times a week, though sometimes packing two bowls a day.
For the pen type, I may or may not at a future point figure out a way to build a nice expansion chamber to make a hit slightly larger, but it's not much of a concern. I'm really just looking for a basic starter kit for a low price so that I can get into the hang of it.
Perhaps further down the line I'll go for a more ugly box type vape, but I'm mostly just wanting something I can throw in the pocket of a jacket or vest and take to a concert or a workplace.
The flavor thing is interesting to me. The tobacco I smoke has a slightly chocolatey flavor to it, though others seem to notice it more than I do, so perhaps I'll start with some of the more chocolatey e-liquids and mix it up now and then with a fruity flavor like the green apple ones that seem so common.

As for nearby vape shops, I know of only one, since vaping hasn't really taken off yet around here, and the arab who owns it was trying to charge me 100 dollars for a kit I found online for 40, so fuck that shit.

As far as pipe type tobaccos go you might look at the following
Bobas Bounty by Alien Visions
Grumpy's Hooch by Sandsmods
Natural Perique by Goodejuice
Backo by Backwood Brew
Coumarin Pipe by MtBaker

These are not exact but in my opinion offer a pipe tobacco flavor. I have found nothing exact this includes a few personal extracts.

Moving on to a pen style and this is simply for the form factor variable voltage option and tank, you had stated you were looking at pen types and brought up cigars. Look at the Aspire Premium Starter Kit. As always shop around for price and do your own research.

Yeah this is definitely a good starter kit if you want a pen vape. I'm using a very similar setup with an EVOD VV Twist instead of aspires own battery.

But you seem to be under the impression that the MVP is more complicated than it actually is. Something you want for sure is variable voltage or wattage. This lets you change how hot it's running, how much flavour you get and control the throat it more. With the pen it's a simple twist on the bottom, with the MVP it's a simple screen where you push a button to increase to decrease voltage.

Other than that the only difference between the MVP and pen batteries with variable voltage is that you can also use variable wattage instead (doesn't matter to you and it doesn't make it more complicated). Then is waay larger battery capacity than something like the aspire cf vv+ (the one in the kit above me) which is only at 1000mAh while the MVP is at a whole 2400mAh. It also comes with the neat feature of allowing you to charge things on the battery such as phones.

I simply don't see how it's a complicated device. But then if you really just prefer the pen style then it's a different thing entirely of course.
Personally I'm buying a MVP and also this holster to go with it.

No way in hell am I paying 80 bucks for a starter kit. Fuck that. I can go for variable amperage at a later point. I don't care all that much about that aspect of it when I'm just starting out and on a budget as well.

that is still far outside of my price range. Again, I'm on a small budget. Especially when I also have to pay shipping to here in Canada on top of that. The website I found the pen-type one I was looking at getting is selling it for 11 bucks, shipping is free. So far that still seems the best option for me. 60 is just a bullshit amount of money to spend on something like this when I could spend half of that to just get more pipe tobacco. Or a bottle of whiskey. Or a decent handjob.

e6b67a No.978

>>970
I agree, that is a somewhat high end kit if you've never vaped before. Even though the vape pen for $11 might not be very good you'll find out if it's something for you and then you'll definitely want to upgrade. But at least then you wont have any doubts about spending the money.

I'm a New vaper, looking to get a starter kit from my local vape shop.Their starter kit includes a vision spinner battery (there's different sizes and prices accordingly ) The one i want to get is is a 1300 mah battery and it comes with a kanger 1.5 ml tank. The kit includes the charger, and a free 10 ml bottle of liquid for 40 bucks. Is this good deal? and has anyone had any experience with kanger tanks?

If you're on a budget, look at the eGo Twist type batteries, and the Kanger evod 2. It's something like $45-$50 for the battery, atomizer, charger, juice and a pack of spare coils. This is all Mt. Baker prices, but they can be found cheaper on Fasttech and other places.

I've been using this setup for about 2 weeks now, and I really wish I had gone with it instead of my Itaste VV/ and Protank 2 setup initially.

My only gripe about the setup is that the exterior air holes can get peoplegrease and shit built up in them, but they have way more airflow potential than a Protank (2 or 3), if you ever decide to drill the holes out.

I would not start with that particular combo, if I was you. Looks like you just tossed an Innokin kit into the cart. I would buy a Kanger Aerotank MOW clearomizer for around $20 and a Vision Spinner 1300mAh for about $25. Grab an eGo USB charger, and you should be up and kicking.

Don't forget the juice! Someone on here recommended four or five good ones yesterday; find the juice thread and purchase what grabs your eye.

bought an kanger evod at comic con and the lady gaved me the atomizer (i think) without the silicone but I wanna know do I stay with this device or just upgrade to the aspire? Im still going to buy a new atomizer but I wanna know your thoughts on kanger.

You won't be happy with a "pen-type" one, I can ensure you that you will not like it. Get a evod 2 mentioned here >>1132 , that will get you a very good starter kit. Vaping is not really cheap, you have to agree with these prices.

I have the evod 2 as well, and have been using it for six months. Lately I've been getting burnt tastes. I've used brand new clearomizers and coils, with a variety of juices. I don't want something super complicated to use/maintain, but the kanger evod is not working at all as I'd like.

I find it kind of silly for people to recommend you mods when you're new to vaping. For a smoker, that stuff can be complicated and just drive them back to cigarettes when they're having problems and don't know what they're doing.

I started with a kangertech evod vv I believe and an aspire tank. I would look for a battery that is all metal, as the ones with plastic coating come apart a lot, although that can be beneficial later if it breaks and you need to open it to fix it. Overall, any type you get will break pretty easily, and that was the reason I switched over to higher quality mods. Expect to get 2-5 months use out of it (obviously depending on how much you use it and where you carry it when you take it out).

>I find it kind of silly for people to recommend you mods when you're new to vaping
I just "took the plunge" recently and got a non-pen mod but I can see why people recomend something bigger for the first time.
Pen-type stuff usually doesn't produce much vapor, and since people tend to start with 11mg of nico or closer to that, it might just not "cut it" when it comes to nicotine advice.

Still, a "pen-type" IS the best thing to start. I still maintain that the most important part for new vapors is the flavours. Yeah yeah, there's all kinds of fancy fruity shit you can get, but stick to tobacoo flavours for 2-3 weeks before you try something new.
Otherwise your e-cig becomes that fancy thing you tried a while back but meh, you're back on analogs.

I don't understand the need for a lot of vapor. A ego style will still get a nice hit similar to smoking cigarettes.

As for flavor, it all depends on taste. I personally hate tobacco flavors because they capture more of the raw tobacco essence rather than burning tobacco, and I hate the way that raw tobacco smells. I quit using fruity flavors and a high nicotine content that made me want the ecig more than a real cigarette because of more nicotine.

(TL;DR at the bottom)

hoenstly i read your question, op and didnt even read any of the other vapefags responses to your question because im almost positive that they would all be along the lines of "just get a mod and a rda or rba and make your own coils." and my answer is no different. but here is more of a reason for you to get a mod and rda. when i started out i did not want anything to do with mods and drippers. i thought it would be too complex for me. so of course i started out with an ego battery and a disposable tank. well after a little while i wanted more flavor and vapor. so i then got a k1000 epipe. after using that for about 2 weeks it shat out on me. i got the vape shop to replace it with another. then another 2 weeks that shat out on me. while i had that epipe i bout like 7 different style tanks because i was an idiot and thought it was fun to test out different tanks. then after my second epipe died. the vape shop said they cant help me anymore and if i wanted another one i would have to buy one. so i said fuck it and got a itaste vtr. now thats not a bad vape but i still wanted more vapor and more flavor. so i thought if i got an aspire nautilus tank i would be set for life. i was wrong. after watching rip trippers a while he really showed me the world of coil building and mods and all that. so i went on ebay and bought a panzer black hawk (i think its a clone) and an plume veil rda (clone) for a total of i think like 45 bucks. i then vent to the vape shop and needed kenthal wire and cotton. the vape shop sold kenthal wire of all sizes…for a fucking dollar a foot. at least the one single cotton ball was fucking free…clearly a rip off. so i went on ebay and found 100ft of any gauge of my choice kenthal wire for about 5 bucks. and a 500 count bag of organic cotton balls for a dollar.

so you can either start out spending 50 bucks on a starter ecig set up. then spend 65 on an epipe and have it get replaced. and then spend about a total of 120 bucks on multiple tanks thinking that it will get you more vapor and flavor and be wrong. and then you can get a decent upgrade and spend 150 dollars on a itaste vtr and buy a 20 dollar charge station and 30 dollars for 3 batteries for it. for a complete total waste of 435 dollars (and thats not including my dumbass spending an extra 50 dollars on retarded drip tips alone cause i thought the skull and cobra and 10 other drip tips looked bitchen as fuck.) the only good thing i can say i bought was i found my preference in what eliquid i like most and i probably spent about 200 on that alone. so all together after that is 685. all of that could have been avoided if i just bought a fucking mod and dripper

TL;DR: get a mod and dripper for the love of god and your bank account…just do it…

37083d No.2224

So I have an evod 2, and would like something better, but not fussy like a mod.
Is atmos good? Should I snap up the atmos pro-t or the dart? If so, is there anything with which I should combine it? (Asking because there is a Groupon bit only for a few days http://touch.groupon.com/deals/gg-atmos-pro-t-mega-vaporizer-bundle/options http://touch.groupon.com/deals/gg-atmos-dart-dry-herb-wax-and-oil-vaporizer-kit-1/options )
It sells from smk24, with which I am unfamiliar. I don't really care about using it with dry herbs or anything besides e liquid.

I recommend an Evod battery, Mine lasts me about 6-12 hours and i vape about 8 or 9 puffs a minute. for a Tank i Recommend the Aspire K1 BVC glassomizer, it was only about $20, and it has a really smooth pull for both mouth and lung hits. my Juice is a simple Marlboro Lights tobacco flavor called Hilton, the higher ncotine does add to the throat hit of it, and i find that about 18-12 is a perfect range for me, but dont mix tobaccos and fruity flavors. i still have a dreadful watermelon taste to mine that gives me a headache.
