So I've been messing around with audacity and things been making a bit of progress trying to make one song sound like it's being played out of a cassest player that the tape skips. Do you have any speific websites for sources such as like a base song or do you just youtube it. You're like the only other active person I've met on this board

I like to get instrumentals from www.twcclassics.com, they have a ton of obscure and cheesy artists who do oldschool techno, jazz, easy listening, etc.

The easiest DAW to jump right into is FL studio.

FL Studio and Audacity should be enough. Making Vaporwave is not very complicated.
