/veganism/ - Go Vegan

What is the difference between animals and humans that justifies killing one for food when we can just eat plants, but not the other?

Not all animals that get eaten are cute and cuddly like some here would lead you to believe with all the cute animal pics posted.

>not cute

>no right to life

interesting

 No.201

So what? Ugly animals have no less dignity. Anyways, terrible example, bulls are fricking cool.

The subjective attractiveness of the animal doesn't matter, that's not the argument, peope just universally enjoy cute animal pics and it helps some make the connection

The point is it's trying to lay a guilt trip on people by using cute cuddly looking animals.

Emotional arguments are fine if they work. Most people aren't particularly logical. If someone wants to look beyond the cute gote weating a cote picture or whatever, then we can hit them with the stats and factual arguments.

There is no right to life.

There are laws in place as if there were one. Intentionally and needlessly causing physical harm to another individual is illegal. Animals deserve a similar right, legally. Before that can happen, more people must go vegan. And they will :)

Wild pigs are very dangerous and are known to kill and eat people. I don't see anything wrong with eating them, they'd eat us if they could.

>>224

What about predators?

>What about predators?

Humans are special, correct? We're smart, and we can distinct right from wrong. There are no predators, or animals that must consume other animals to survive, that have the same agency that we do. That is because humans are the only animals with this moral agency.

Wild boars and predators 1. must kill and hunt to survive in the wild. Humans do not, and do not live in the wild. Therefor this isn't a good justification for being cruel to an animal. 2. they do not posses moral agency, while humans do and are held accountable for their actions by other intelligent humans. Thus this is also not a good justification for being cruel to an animal.

Humans do have to kill and hunt to survive in the wild because you don't have a nearby grocery store filled with plants from all across the globe and b12 supplements to sustain your retarded diet in the wild.

Just as a well fed housecat will no longer ravenously murder prey animals leading to cute youtube videos of a mouse and a cat being best friends so to will a human no longer feel the need to murder animals when put in the same situation, yet if you starve that cat or vegan for long enough they will kill and eat that fucking mouse in a heartbeat because in the end they are both predatory animals whos predatory instincts have only disappeared due to a lack of hunger.

You aren't some special snowflake who is so enlightened by their own intelligence and moral agency that you will waste away and starve to death rather than kill something else in order to live, you are nothing more than a fat spoiled housecat whos entire existence is being sustained by forces beyond your control. The forces which are only in the position to sustain you and your fat cat because of the animals that they slaughter en masse which you gleefully take advantage of by living in the civilizations it created while virtue signalling about how morally superior you are for not supporting animal slaughter because you bought the soy milk instead of the cow milk.

 No.305

>>299

Yes it is. Political divides are about winning not taking the moral high ground.

>>304

>you can't be anti animal slaughter because capitalism will slaughter animals anyway and there's nothing you can do about it right now

Makes perfect sense. Humans are not wild animals, if we were in a plane crash on a desert island then okay, I'm sure we would and could morally justify eating meat but we aren't so don't pull that stupid shit.

Whereas if you're a 350lb boomer who eats McGangbangs instead of veggies, that actually means you're a highly equipped and toned alpha male primed for survival in the wild.

They would do better than vegan for sure, but of course vegans have to compare themselves to old men because they are so degraded.

Even if you are a veggie or a vegan you should never fucking support PETA holy shit, they're a borderline scam charity.

This is literally what a stack of meat looks like at a butcher's, except in human form. HUNGRY NOW, CARNIVORES?

That is one shitty butcher but the answer is yes.
