>Who are NovaLogic?
NovaLogic are a company that was formed in 1985 that mainly specialised in making new versions of old games, they even developed the cancelled sequel to the Super Mario World game on the CD-i before the console was rightfully shitcanned.
Years later, NovaLogic still lived on with a new office in London. While watching Stone Cold Steve Austin win the Royal Rumble, NovaLogic set out to create "Novaworld", an online service that still lives to this day. Novaworld allowed for huge amounts of players to play on servers that they had set up for the games that they had and were going to release, reaching 50 players in a server in DF: Land Warrior and 150 by Joint Operations.
NovaLogic released many kinds of games, they started with Comanche, a flight simulator about the titular helicopter that was well received for being realistic and fun at the same time perhaps you could say it was, pretty rad. They would later branch into other types of vehicle simulator, such as Armoured Fury, a tank simulator and various flight simulators, named after the aircraft that you could control in the game. All came out to good reception, praising the realism of the game while being fun to play.
NovaLogic also released Tachyon: The Fringe, an interestingly unique space game that took the gameplay of their flight simulations and applied it to space combat.
Later, NovaLogic took their first steps into the genre they were perhaps known the most for, the first person shooter. In 1998, NovaLogic released Delta Force. Delta Force was set apart from other shooters at the time due to its simulation style and its extremely large terrains that could be traversed. NovaLogic continued to release titles in the Delta Force series, almost all came out to good reception. NovaLogic even created a semi movie tie-in with DF: Black Hawk Down.
Finally, likely one of NovaLogic's greatest but unseen achievements.
Joint Operations.
Joint Operations was a multiplayer-focused game that took the gameplay of Delta Force, the ability of Novaworld and cranked them into overdrive.
I'll let you investigate at that game yourself.
ISN'T THIS SHIT JUST RADICAL?!
