Everytime. All Bizzare Creations had to do was make a game like MSR or Project Gotham and all Evolution Studios had to do was make a multiplatform Motorstorm. I'm not against experimental modes in racing games but they shouldn't be the main event, especially in your multiplatform debut.

This definitely does not say "We're going to cater to esports fags so it's PERBECTLY BALANSED for esports". I'm going to urge you guys to give it a fair shake, because 7 was actually ahead of Dirt Rally in a number of ways, and I don't personally want Codemasters running the show for rally games.

Of course, but to have a "Community Day" where you collect feedback from community members AND some esports drivers =/= equal pandering to esports drivers. I'm as sick of devs pandering to esports as anyone, but if you were to try to get community feedback for your game similarly, you'd probably invite a few people who simrace competitively too.

Truly a special breed. It's understandable, but WRC really made strides with 7, so I hope some of this feedback they're getting helps stuff out on the sim side of things, since 7 was great for physics and experience, but still a bit consolified in the settings department.

In other news: I spent an hour with the DR:2 FFB update. It is an improvement. Not a big one, but it pushes the FFB into "Acceptable" territory for me. I'm actually having fun driving now, once I got my settings dialed.

The RWD and Marek cars are pretty good fictional representation of filler mid field LMP cars in project cars 2.

Same goes for the fictional vehicles in raceroom and ISI games.

I want more fictional tracks that take in real world locations more like the Seattle circuit.

One of the greatest things about fictional shit in simracing or just any simracing game is that it's a racing fan's dream car of an ideal representation of a race class. Not only that, but surprisingly they tend to drive well.

Even the fictional GT Concept race spec cars in GT3.

Fictional cars in simracing represent a racers dream tbh

How come in simracing everyone gets to circlejerk to AC including halfchan OVG but when we talk about games like PCARS 2 that literally improve upon the base game in many ways and it's still somehow shit to the public eye?

AC lacks the features most simracing games have. Being a literal definition of a hotlapping simulator. I don't understand it's appeal.

Even with mods AC's quality of mods is pretty shit compared to rF2. You gotta constantly rely on paid mods for the good stuff while in rFactor 2 you got like enduracers, vintage f1, and such.

PCARS 2 is underrated when you got so much going for it, and physics and FFB that feel close to ISI games. But it still gets shit even though many simracing games have some limited shortcomings.

Because AC can run on a fairly mediocre PC unlike PCARS2 and you can pirate payware mods without a problem. I would play PC2 if I could run it, still prefer AMS over AC though, I just wish more rFactor 1 mods would get ported to it

Nicki Thiim tried driving in ACC and this is the result

https://v.redd.it/blvhw4ius8131 courtesy of PRC Austin

If you bottom out in Assetto Corsa Competizione, you can not recover from rear grip loss and you can't even feel the rear grip losing untill it's too late

The GT3 cars in ACC lose control if they brake within 100m and start understeering and locking up even without pushing the brakes at maximum within ABS. You'd have to brake 150-200m to have stability and control.

Josh Webster an irl racer made a top negative steam review quoting how the Huracan GT3 he drove in IRL during the 12 hrs of Sebring is easier to drive than driving on the simulator, so there is a problem.

One of the things mentioned by PRC Austin is that ACC lacks lateral grip and a proper slip angle model.

Damn I'm starting to get almost stuck again with that stupid no buy playthrough idea of mine,

Basically you can't easily win either of the 24hr with clean driving (I mean I could just do the one with chicanes on the straight and cut through but that's no fun) because Group C car (MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V, Nissan R89C, Nissan R92CP) just eat medium race tire and you can't use anything else because no buy and you can't get a modern/better LMP without winning one or the other, and obviously winning with 3x the pit stops on a track that's mostly straight lines or fast large turns is basically impossible

Guess that means I'm doing the Nurburgring 24hr first to get that Formula GT then

Since hypercars are slower than LMP1s, does that mean the lower classes are gonna get slower too?

Why is getting Sega Rally to run on anything such a bitch

No I don't want to run the arcade version

3ca1d7  No.141262

Well you first off need to explain what you are trying to run it off of? If you are trying to run it on a Casio calculator then maybe that might be an issue perhaps?

<emulating it

>doesn't run at all and crashes wangblows due to using Windows CE

<installing it

>asked for something something 9x and when turned on compatibility mode for windows 98 it printed out some error related to not recognizing the graphics card. It's also un-uninstallable and can't be installed again

I honestly think freedumbs are going to have better luck running that piece of shit.

And I wasn't fucking wrong

I swear if it wasn't for the fact that emulators and my data may not be compatible in linux, the possible loss of "power" and virtualbox emulating the system with some lag, I would have done the jump years ago.

Is Project Cars 2 worth buying on sale, or is it only good for pirating? I won't be playing multiplayer. Its 70% off right now

>Modern racing only worth buying for multiplayer fags

I want to take a moment to screech about this. What the fuck is up with racing devs when they ignore the fact that most fags playing racing games will want to play solo? Is there even any effort put on a single player experience these days?

Keep projecting.

>Is there even any effort put on a single player experience these days?

There is, but the result is marginal. AI drivers' intelligence hasn't improved much, as I'm seeing it personally, and they all seem to be monotone, with little deviation on driving styles and tuning/car config.

Career mode exists in some games, but nothing impressive.
