Just got Enemy Within, getting my shit wrecked on Impossible.

I'm gonna try again but how do you deal with multiple pods spawning at once and across the map deaths.

Also, Thin Men within 10 or 12 days of starting the game? WTF is this shit.

I owned the first mission, had to run from the 2nd mission, got merced on the 3rd which was a council bomb disposal mission.

Is Impossible designed to be fun or frustrating?

how do i have seperate installs of EW with and without long war (multiplayer purposes)? it might be the launcher of the game always launching the game from location A, since i copied it from there. how can i bypass the launcher? i CAN bypass the launcher by adding "-fromlauncher" to the launchoptions, but that will only launch EU.
anyone with experience?

A bit of both. Impossible will kick your shit in without mercy, but if you know the game you can deal with it.

So, play on classic. At least until you get to heavy floaters so you know what you're up against while still keeping a surprise or 2.

Thin men are crack shots, so beware them. Best strategy in all cases is to not let the enemy shoot at you either by falling back out of sight or killing them all. Supression is an acceptable substitute.

Play it safe, only blue move and overwatch. Never ever ever ever gold move into unknown territory or even known territory that you don't have vision on.

They make it sound in the readme like every large is defended by elite mutons and a sectopod, the only real problem will be if you let mutons dig in at range, or if you get an awkward command pod activation. Other than that, it's just free alloys for days.

I tried to install long war mod and broke my game instead now i have to reinstall any of you guys have the long mod installed or know how to install it without killing your game

Hey, hoping someone wan help me

I played EU and loved it, tried to start an EW game right after I finished it.

EW framerate drops dramatically compared to EU, the game is unplayable.

Now I looked up online and supposedly there's a fix involving changing 3D settings in the nvidia control panel because EW doesn't use the computer's GPU by default

Thing is, I don't have a Nvidia control pannel, I'm playing on a Microsoft Surface (EU ran smooth as a baby's cheek on it) and I have no idea how to fix this, it's kind of been driving me crazy for the last few days

Anyone got a solution to this or I should just wait until I have another comp with these options ?

All the fixes I saw assume that you have an nvidia card and control pannel
