>>4489That makes a lot of sense, thanks.
Story-wise, there's still some things not totally clear.
1. the game left the golden freddy child's death and role in it all very vague, in the give life game he just appeared in the middle briefly, whatever that was supposed to mean. He's also very different from the other characters, being much more ghost-like.
He only appears on 6th night, after the place was put on lockdown. I guess that tells us the suit got haunted
after the murderer used it, and maybe that the 5th child was the one who possessed gold freddy.
2. in fnaf1, the CEO of the restaurant suspiciously says how the characters will "live on", so that makes me wonder if the CEO is involved somehow. Especially since he keeps the restaurant running after everything, hiring more night guards despite the deaths and shit, and not getting rid of the animatronics altogether.
3. The day guard presumably died (or disappeared), as evidenced by night 5 call. The player goes into work for 6th night which confuses the phone guy. So regarding the bite of 87, was the day guard the victim (killing him), or was it you (turning you into a "zombie")?
Also, who was the first guard? He moved into day shift and presumably died during fnaf2. But since he's the day guard who works "from opening til close", he could not be purple guy since the purple guy appeared in a car in the middle of the day.
If you were the victim, what happened to the day guard? If it was him, why did you come to work on day 6?
Speaking of which, if you are the murderer, why would you come to an extra
night shift?
Especially since the place went into lockdown.
4. What is the last birthday? (if it has any meaning anyway)
In one of the death games, Freddy is serving cake. But the birthday happens after night 6, and all 5 characters are already haunting by then, so the death game cannot be related because another child is killed there.
You receiving the bite here makes sense, since you're on day shift and instructed to stay close to the animatronics to make sure they don't hurt anyone.
But that leaves both #3 questions unanswered: what happened to the first guard, and why did you come for a 6th night?
5. The phone guy.
Sometime before fnaf1 it seems that he got captured (otherwise he would have gotten the fuck out of there), but how come he wasn't killed, and if he was captured how is he able to record the messages?
If he wasn't stuck, he would have left. If he wasn't being watched, he would not have lied to the player so much. But why did they keep him alive? It sounds like he was forced to lure more guards in, maybe he recorded the messages long time ago and they're being repeated to every night guard.
His behavior during the last nights of 2 doesn't support the idea that he was the killer. And even if he was, why do the children still keep hunting night guards after killing the phone guy somewhere between 1 and 2?
And also, why did he try to convince player that none of the "rumors" were true?
And where did he end up in? He died after 2, but all the animatronics were already haunting during 2.
6. Fritz Smith. He's tampering with the animatronics in the custom night, and the post-it note confirms he did it immediately as he got hired, and it also confirms he got hired
after Jeremy.
It could mean nothing, or it could just be a way to confirm that Jeremy isn't on night shift anymore.
Crazy conspiracy theory: Smith sounds like a stereotypical agent name, so maybe he was some secret agent somehow related to the AI system in the animatronics. The firing notice also does not say anything about unprofessionalism like fnaf1.
Phone guy also says that they'll try to contact the previous restaurant owner for a new employee. That's where the old animatronics came from, too.
..
I might make some kind of graphical diagram for what happened where and when.
..
As far as gameplay is concerned, there's a ton of ways to improve on. In particular, I'd hope for what I hoped for fnaf2: actually requiring you to track where the characters are and acting
before they get too close. I also hoped that some character(s) would always kill you, and you would have to move yourself around to prevent meeting them, with different locations having different properties/functions.
Some of the story pieces could be revealed with the exploration idea too, making you find clues throughout the building.
It might also have some more sinister story, about intentionally creating these murderbots for some purpose.
Maybe the whole story will be based on you,
the detective, finding clues and trying to figure out the mystery.
Maybe the haunting won't stop until the brainless (bite victim) murderer is found out and punished.
Then again, maybe I'm expecting too much.
