My dad is the reason I play sub sims, he got me into them and taught me how to play them (or when I was younger, he'd just show them off). We used to play the two LOTR Gamecube games together either taking turns or co-op.

Both of my parents have always been fine with me playing video games but that's probably because it was never my only hobby and it didn't get in the way of anything else.

I grew up in a christian baptist household so my mom thought games were distractions from god. Pretty much all of my gaming time, I got from staying over at my friends house. I think games being forbidden only made them more exciting to play, since it was something I wasn't allowed to have. When I was 11, my mother freaked out and hit me with a belt for playing Tekken at my friends house though so that was the end of that. I got my own computer at 16, and since my mother is tech illiterate, I managed to convince her that computers cant play vidya. Been a PC gamer ever since.

My dad played board games with when i was younger and got me my first computer and some lego games. So even though i never played any games with him i do owe him a major thank you for everything he's done with me.

Nah, that's what I did with my sisters.

Me, my mom, dad and little sister used to all play star wars the clone wars on the gamecube together

I played multiplayer with them from day 1. We all thought the turrets were called tuppets cause of the split screen resolution on the old 4:3 tv screen. I didnt notice that it was turrets until i played single player like 3 months after i got the game. probably the most familial fun we've had playing vidya (all together at least)

i also used to play mortal kombat 1 and 2 on my sega when i was really little with my mom and dad (sister was still a baby)

also they introduced me to gta 1,2 and london. I have fond memories of watching my mom play and kill a bunch of cops screaming "MUTHAFUCKAAAAAAAAS" irl

I got an SNES from a cousin who turned 18 when I was 2 or 3 years old, and. back then, my parents let me play games and didn't care about them at all. My dad, after playing PS2 with some of my uncles, got a PS1 and PS2, which is when we started to play games together, namely GT2 and 3, NFSU 1 and 2, Driver 2 and 3, and GTA3. He also got me ManHunt so that he wouldn't have to buy me tickets to scary movies for a while. Other than that, no, we don't play games together.

Father was pretty cool about 'em, helped with the installation of many in our desktop.

Played mostly Heart of Darkness, SWAT3 and later SWAT4 with him watching.
Now I am helping my little sis getting through Bayonetta, she also seems interested in learning to get around in Gears of War 2 since I have been playing it in co-op with a friend.

There were good times, but since I became mediocre at many things the boss has tried to shoo me away from vidya. The female that birthed me has actually gone from a "those things are giving the computer viruses" stance to suggesting I get into making them if I like them so much.
