>>141>Who here is rocking cardboard?me
>What apps are you running with it?Of all the apps I've tried, I've most enjoyed Solar System (a much smaller version of space engine where you can't do much more than drift around a solar system and turn your head), Caaaaardboard! (a VR version of the other android game AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!, where you skydive from space and angle the phone to steer yourself through things that give you points), and [Cardboard]WAVEFILE_HatuneMiku (Third person (which is pretty crazy when your head is the right analog stick) non-game where you sit in a room and watch a fairly well-animated Miku dance to some music from different angles, guy has a couple other similar apps)("Hatune" is not a typo, that's how the app name is spelled)
>Has anyone got their phone set up as a monitor for occulus rift app compatibility?I've looked into this, and there have been people who said they were working on it, even people who said they'd gotten it to work. I have yet to find an actual download link for any software that even claims to be able to run rift games on cardboard.
>Will we start seeing phones with HDMI-in or a chromecast baked in so people can use their phones as desktop displays?Chromecast just uses wifi, you can already use your phone as a desktop display if you have the right software and know how to set it up.
Look up Trinus Gyre, little hard to set up but lets you play basically any 3d-capable PC game on cardboard, streams screen content either wirelessly or over USB
