I don't get the point, I would understand if we were to start playing a multiplayer VR game (which is too soon, only a few people have a VR headset), but what would we even chat on this with this few users without it becoming awkward?

Honestly, there's no point except for using it as random chat and Twitch/YT cinema. It's just that it works with every version of Rift and Gear and even without HMD so anyone can join.
