I’ve been thinking about our modern culture, at least the popular culture in the West. We are currently living in what shall be called a “death culture”. Not to say the culture is dead per se, but that it is anti-life and therefore can not survive and is subject to decline and eventual termination. The culture seeks not to bind a people through a common language, rituals, beliefs, and history. It seeks not to replicate itself through future generations to carry the culture through themselves. The death culture seeks for its tribe to experience the greatest pleasure with the shortest amount of inconvenience. There are several aspects that create a death culture or at the very least point towards one taking shape.

The first sign is the promotion and celebration of abortion. There is nothing more evil for a mother to do than to murder her child in the womb. Doing so, she betrays her tribe, her God, and most sickeningly she betrays her infant. Abortion is often celebrated today by so called “champions of women”. They often proclaim loudly how abortion is fantastic and that they have already had five already. With every abortion, there is one less future member to carry on the traditions of the culture.

With abortion, members of the death culture are not bound to a family. They have no stake in the future. They say, “To hell with it”. Without a child, they are free to indulge in hedonistic lifestyles. They preen themselves over their looks, their activities, and their possessions. That satisfied feeling of being part of a tribe replaced by serotonin shots through social media and dopamine doses from button presses in a vapid video game.

What do hedonists do in their free time from free time? They fuck. The modern hookup culture is another symptom of the death culture. Two young adults both swipe right, meet up at one of their overpriced apartments, fuck without meaning, and part ways without ever forming a true connection. Sex is meaningless and cheap. Instead of sex occurring between a married man and woman to procreate and form a stronger union, it has become just another dopamine dispenser. This sexual liberation a concept known as “open relationships”, more sensible cultures may have simply called them cuckolds. No longer is a man bound to a woman and a woman bound to a man. They may play the act of a loving relationship, but they will seek out new people to fuck as soon as their partner loses their novelty. They treat sex as though browsing chocolates from a box.

As boundaries of sexual practice blur, so do the idea of man and woman. A death culture teaches there is no difference between a man and a woman. The idea that the sexes have roles to play in a culture are antiquated and false. People become confused as to what they are. No one will tell them what they are, so they continue to drift. “If there is no difference, then I shall be a woman” says the man. He promptly begins taking estrogen and has a doctor surgically castrate him and create an unholy wound on his genitals. His penis is mutilated, cut, stretched, and inverted into the body cavity. His genitals cry out “Please, have you no sense. This is not the way. Such a creation is an abomination of your God who made you so.” The man can not hear. He mustn’t hear. For once he hears the truth, he will come to the realization of the monstrous eunuch he has become and promptly kill himself. Those that learn to ignore their body’s cries, begin to insert rods into their wounds to prevent the healing their body so very much desires.

File: b8c69ee49a0151c⋯.jpg (3.24 MB, 4173x2781, 1391:927, immigrant-family.jpg)

The members of the death culture soon find need for a next generation. The eunuchs can not breed for they have already mutilated themselves to appear to be what they are not. The non-eunuchs can not breed for they murder their children. How does a death culture replace their dead? They outsource the job. Rather than inconveniencing themselves with child rearing, the death culture members bring in people from the outside world. As long as there are people in other nations, there are future citizens of the death culture nation. The death cultures bring in these aliens in large numbers as the death culture member numbers decline. Soon the aliens outnumber the original tribe. It is a given that a few of the aliens will join the death culture and assimilate into the decadence. This could continue for some time allowing the death culture to survive on essentially life support. Sooner or later however, there will arrive an alien life culture (assuming the people of the death culture have not awoken from their stupor and created their own life culture). This life culture will be superior to the death culture in that it will breed new members instead of the culture dying with the death of the members. The life culture does not necessarily have to be “good” from a Western sense. It simply must affirm life in the members and give them a reason to breed. An example of a life culture entering a death culture can be seen in Western Europe at the moment with the importation of Islam. While the European couple is getting sterilized and adopting animals as surrogate children, the average Islamic couple, assuming the male Mohammedan does not have multiple wives, will produce several children. In this way, the life culture will overtake the death culture as death culture members die and are replaced with multiple life culture members.

A life culture can arise from the native population though as hinted at earlier. In the United States, there is still the remnants of the former US life culture in areas like the Midwest and South, away from the West Coast Sodom and the East Coast Gomorrah. The Midwest and South still have a life culture to a degree due to the religious nature of these areas. Assuming these areas stayed true to their culture and continued to reproduce at higher rates than the death culture cPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Finally, even if a life culture takes control, it does not mean that it is the end. Most cultures eventual reach a death culture stage if given time and are not revived. This death/life cycle has occurred many times throughout history. One such example is the Roman Empire. It slowly degraded into decadence and imported many Germanics or allowed the tribes to settle on Roman land. Sometimes as I watch the news and see the absolute degeneracy happening in Western culture and the third world hoards ready to sweep in and claim it for their own, I can’t help but feel like everyone is fiddling while Rome burns to the ground.

This is a great post, and in particular I would like to emphasize and expand upon the fourth of your posts in this thread. Namely,

>Most cultures eventual reach a death culture stage if given time and are not revived. This death/life cycle has occurred many times throughout history. One such example is the Roman Empire. It slowly degraded into decadence and imported many Germanics or allowed the tribes to settle on Roman land. I could not agree more, and though I'm sure it's been done many times, I must compare this to the "hard times make strong men, strong men make good times, good times make weak men, weak men make bad times" proverb. This is somewhat derivative, but it does touch upon a trend that I and others have noticed of a tendency of prosperous nations to be hedonistic to the point of losing their prosperity. There seems to be something about the lack of wealth that gives a person, and indeed a society, a sense of perspective that the wealthy lack and is necessary for the maintenance of a healthy civilization.

Hey /vlg/. Requesting recommendations for books (((they))) don't want you to read. As an aside, I have all the basics (The Prince, Plato's Republic, Wealth of Nations, Common Sense, etc.) read and am looking for thought-provoking titles that build upon this foundation. Books outside of politics and philosophy also welcome, specifically interested in science/mathematics.

I've been getting into things like Distributism (basically catholic christian economics, somewhat 3rd positionism), books that might seem up your alley are:

The Outline of Sanity by G. K. Chesterton

The Servile State by Hilaire Bello

Another book on my list is:

Libido Dominandi: Sexual Liberation & Political Control by E. Michael Jones

I will add more books as discussion furthers.

Not really hard thought provoking material, but everyone should read 1984 and Brave New World.

1984 relates to modern information control and censorship.

Brave New World relates to modern culture, modern societies passiveivation through pleasure, anti-depressant use, some bio-engineering, class structure.

/vlg/, do you think that Japan's regaining of the ability to maintain a formal military and declare war unilaterally should occur? Proponents of this idea argue that Japan is a radically different country than it was when her ability to have a (real) military and go to war on her own accord were stripped, and she is mostly an ally of Western interests today, especially in opposition to China's aspirations of, at the very least, regional hegemony. Opponents of this move argue that Japan's lack of a formal military give valid cause for Western militaries (mostly American) to maintain a strong presence in the region, both for Japan's defense and for the deterrence of, and rapid response to, any unwelcome move China and/or North Korea might make.

What do you think?

Japan should be able to maintain a formal army. China is honestly a big threat in the region and will continue to be unless they finally buckle under the weight of their economy. A strong Japan can put a decent against further Chinese expansion into the Pacific. Things are looking grim though in Asia and I can see a major war break out over Chinese territory claims in the Pacific between the US and China. Japan and the US have been strong allies since the rebuilding of Japan and I wouldn't mind seeing them become stronger.

>North Korea

North Korea wouldn't dare to anything to Japan while not in control of South Korea. It would be suicidal. At most, you would see some missile launches maybe. So far things in Korea are slowly turning around it seems. This does not exclude however that Japan might take a more stern approach trying to get back their hostages.

It's somewhat hard to say.

From my point of view, Japan is a cohesive and strong society, but an increasingly idle and atomized one.

The declining birth rate is troubling. Not sure whether that has to do with the high-expectation culture, mixed with the black pill of being in a highly modernized society and working their ass off, getting blackout drunk in the bar, then going to work the next day and repeating it until you die, with plenty of hentai/porn to numb their existence. These conditions contribute to the rise of Hikikomoris.

What needs to happen is a revitalization of the population, somehow.

Just like Trump, who brought great hope and revitalized the majority of of White America, Japan needs a strong leader and a change in paradigm.

Consumerist Materialism no longer satisfies the soul of Japan… unless of course they're bugmen.

There has been a current of anti-war protests and rhetoric against any militarization. Japan's constitution is hugely pacifist, especially Article 9. Shinzo Abe has been met with strong opposition for wanting to strengthen alliances and to keep China and Russia in check.

I think Japan should instate a draft, and make military service mandatory at 18 for 2 years, kind of like Israel (oy vey). I'm actually not worried about their actual military power, but rather sustaining it.

They rely on a lot of trade. What would happen if China (their biggest trade partner), and some other big importers decided to economically punish Japan? Just a hypothetical.

I believe Japan will need lots of help sustaining the dominance over the region.

Just my opinion.

There are several schools of thought on the issue. First of all, you have to ask the question "are humans unique in deserving special rights by virtue of being human, or by virtue of some characteristic that they have as humans that other beings do not?" You might also give humans special clearance since you are one, and recognize the value in self-interest in ones' species. I would say that yes, humans do deserve special moral consideration.

If, however, you do not believe the above, and that moral consideration is determined by intelligence/sentience, then moral consideration must therefore be spectrum that is as dense as the number of species that exist, and distinguishing the disparity in moral consideration between two species, let alone two individuals, is something that you would need to create a metric for, which is a difficult feat to say the least.

3c9460  No.104

I have always preferred the position that humans are not unique, but that no animal inherently deserves special rights at all. The utilitarianism that encourages self-interest for the species can easily be shown to be flawed, as fellow humans are the second most likely animal to kill you. The most likely is the mosquito, for whom I prescribe a swift and efficient genocide.

What is your opinion on healthy gender roles /vlg/?

Personally I have no problem with them. Men and women naturally have different parts to play in society, but neither is better or worse than the other. They are complimentary and they add up to form a complete unit. The genders should be two different positions on the same team, not the same position on opposing teams. Homemaking was never looked down upon until feminism said it was inferior.

What do you think?

What you've stated is true, but feminism has led to a vicious cycle which makes this ideal less and less possible with each passing day. Introduction of a majority of young women into the workforce has driven wages down and therefore made it impossible for men with blue-collar or entry-level white-collar jobs to support a family. Because the majority of young men fall into these two employment categories, starting a family at the proper age, that is, the early-to-mid 20s, has become simply implausible when both partners must work to support themselves (unless, of course, you express the African or Amerindian phenotype, in which case Uncle Sam is happy to subsidize your children!).

What even is the Holy Spirit? I was never really taught what it is. My research says it is a “person”, another in the trinity, but this just does not make sense to me.

Here is my current understanding/view of the Holy Spirit.

>inb4 Heresy

The Holy Spirit is more like a force of God’s will. God uses this force to influence the world. This is going to be really autistic, but I it like the bookcase scene from Interstellar.

What are your thoughts?

"Person" is a term that's used in absentia of better one. The only member of the Trinity that's really a "person" in the English sense of the word is the Christ. God the Father and God the Spirit aren't "people" as we commonly understand.

So, so to help clarify the differences here, the Nicene Creed might prove helpful:

I believe in one God,

the Father almighty,

maker of heaven and earth,

of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the Only Begotten Son of God,

born of the Father before all ages.

God from God, Light from Light,

true God from true God,

begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;

through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation

he came down from heaven,

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,

and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,

he suffered death and was buried,

and rose again on the third day

in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory

to judge the living and the dead

and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son,

who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,

who has spoken through the prophets.
