I am working on a (Visual Novel Game), for mature audiences. I refuse to say "adults" or "not for minors", because that is not what it is for.

The game/novel, starts by asking you what the legal age of consent is, in your country/area, followed by asking you your age. This covers other locations where limits are less restricted. While, at the same time, if desired, it allows some self-inflicted mature perversion.

Other than that, it will ask you to name the protagonist male character, who is the main character, obviously.

Now, with that out of the way… I will attempt to describe the game/novel. (Please comment or pry my brain, if desired.)

As the subject above reads, "Big Sails, Tiny Jibs" is the current working title. It is a bit of a play on words, in many ways. Literally, the story takes place, for the majority of events, on a cruise-ship. However, for reasons later explained, it has the appearance of an older pirate-ship or frigate. To be more specific, it has the form of a similar ship, given to the U.S. Government, titled "The U.S.S. Constitution". This too, has an internal meaning within the game. There is a lot of those hidden meanings scattered throughout the game, actually. Pic related, that is the ship I am building.

While aboard this ship, under the premise that you have "won a trip, to be a judge, on a private island"… But no insight about what you are judging, or where the island is, and being told not to inquire about it… You are left to your own vices, and the vices of the ships other occupants.

The story, depending how it is played, can unfold into a full-fledged, "no-holds-barred" sexual orgy of sorts, or you could turn the protagonist into a full "White-knight", choir-boy.

There are many taboos that are only perceptual taboos, and some that you may accidentally participate in, not realizing they are taboo, until the deeds have been completed. Such as, thinking you are sleeping with a minor, but later finding-out they are not, or vice-versa, sleeping with someone you think is of-age, but they turn-out not being of age. (Then there are ones where you are just left wondering, because it never does more than imply, "who did what".)

Pure family entertainment for all ages, I am sure. JK

However, I am now reaching a point of "saturation" of duties which is interfering with production of the game/novel. The game was originally going to have everyone fully dynamic, to adjust for those selected ages, mentioned above. However, that was really becoming more than I could handle. I have since just made specific components of the game/novel, take those into consideration, in the dialogue.

Then, the next wall I hit, was in the 3D component. I can puke-out detailed 3D worlds without any problem, but even this small ship has a lot of detail. However, the 3D models of people, which I have access to, is detracting from the environment, the story and the game/novel as a whole. They just look derpy, all because of shitty hair in DAZ3D Studio. (Originally I was going to attempt the dynamic stuff with loli-style art and something more like flash-style vector art, over the 3D environment.)

This hurdle has left me with two production choices.

1: Don't draw any people. Use creative shadows on the environment to "imply" what is being done, as described in the text.

2: Use "shadow cut-outs", blurred silhouettes of people, as shadows or actually rendered, but devoid of all details. This, allowing your brain to fill-in the details or beauty or actions.

3: Just use faces with the text, and associated expressions to match the text dialogue. Keeping the background of just the 3D scenery, for deeper visualization. Still allowing the reader to use imagination to visualize the actual interactions.

The wording should be more than adequate, the way I write, for your mind to easily fill the voids.

Any thoughts, suggestions, considerations, or volunteers to possibly assist me with the creation of this? I do still need a lot of individual "scenes" written-out, which are non-detrimental fill-in, for the main story. (The game aspect of the novel.)

Just wanted to give some more details about the ship. Keeping in mind that this is a cruise-ship, not a "boat". There are five "levels" to the ship.
- Sun Deck (Top-most)
- Top Deck (Cabins, Controls)
- Main Deck (Cabins, Pool, Shops)
- Lower Deck (VIP, Movies, Lounges)
- Crew Deck (Heart of ship)
- Keel (Storage)

Some of the areas you explore or interact within, are…
- Many cabins
- Decks
- Life-boats
- Pool
- Hot-tub
- Pool-deck
- Showers
- Bathrooms
- Bar (Liquor)
- Lounge (Chill)
- Food-court
- Diner-bar
- Strip-club
- Private-dance-rooms
- Dressing-rooms
- Movies
- Projection-booth
- Back-stage
- Shops
- Closets
- Air-vents
- Loading-bay
- Storage-rooms
- Cargo-Area
- Engine-bay
- Crews-quarters
- Keel area
- Control-room
- Captains chambers
- VIP rooms
- Crows-nest
- Emergency-deck
- Kitchen

Etc… Many rooms having 2-3 areas. Lounges, Bars, and the Strip-club also having 2-4 areas. The decks containing interactive "stuff" around the ship too.

It is a full place to explore, once most of it is unlocked. Though, depending on which of the seven endings your paths take you on, there will be more or less to see. (Have to play all seven endings to see the entire ship. Not including a few other places on the island, when you get there. But that stay is short.)

You interact with people on the ship, some are contestants and some are not. Half-way through the game, more get added to the ship, as another unloads. Partly to reduce the complication of having too-may things to interact with, and partially for the progression of the story. (That is when things get more twisted, and focus is more on novel and less on game. Prior to that, the focus is on the game component and exploring.)

You can see three solid decks. (Working on the keel. Lowest.) The sun-decks are just any deck exposed to the sun, which is not the main-deck in the middle.

All of it sounds God-tier m8, but I reckon if you tried you could get some helpful anon to make some models for you.
I'm pretty sure there's a 3D board.

I tried… They have no interest in loli-stuff, VN's or anything other than the fantasy of being "picked-up" by some huge game company. Throw-in "taboo" subjects, and they treat it like it is some kind of plague-post that is going to ruin their fantasy career by replying to the post itself.

Figured I would focus on those who actually like VN's to start. They have a better grasp of the concepts anyways. If they also do 3D, or 2D, or write… (Having read or followed VN's) That is a bigger bonus, because I don't have to keep explaining the concept and art of VN's to them. xD

They would also not be impressed by the 3D-to-2D style art. They all think that 3D's only purpose is to simulate reality, not to make art. Reproducing reality in 3D is as redundant as turning reality into cheap 3D. They all seem to be stuck in that middle-spot. Concept.

Oh, and hello, and thank-you for your reply. (I always forget to do that. I am trying to be a better person. xD)

To elaborate on that comment, I was referring to half-chan, not here. Didn't see the 3D board here. Not many posters there. However, I will try a little cross-threading.

Stop that, we ain't on plebbit or DeviantAutism.

And I'm trying to get this board more popular, which might just attract the anons you need. Anyway, good luck.

The more anons here the merrier m8.

Moving the greater majority of GameDev and 3D asset creation, related to the game, over to a permanent home. I don't want to appear to be hijacking this thread, so I will limit future postings to only 3D VNG development things here.

Also note, the game title has effectively been changed to "Red Skies: The Knight". For those who may stumble across this post in the future, and find it worth exploring more.

Just note that the website hosting my game development process, and possibly the game itself, has NSFW content. (3DCG Loli, 2D Loli, Hentai, Manga, Doujins, etc.)

Out of courtesy for respect of this thread wishes, I am only linking to the forums, not the main-page with the artist works mentioned above.

Yes, I have been given my own thread in the forum. Titled as "Red Skies: The Knight".

I will come back and post more 3D and VNG stuff soon. I am banging out a lot of details of all the specific areas at the moment, so I am all over the place.

P.S. Artists wanted. See the forum thread for more details.
