Manga costs around $10-15 and you get 150 to 200 pages. Karbo's 'Check and Mate' is $10 for 77 pages of quality content. I have little interest in pokemon so I'm unfamiliar with the names but doubt all of those artists are good enough to justify $30 for 100 pages.

I'm guessing all the artists want their royalties so they have to provide at a rate which the better of the group are happy with, rather than what each individual deserves. If they didn't I can only imagine the hurt feelings. Yet no reason to punish the consumer because they can't be tough with their business.

Still it is their right to charge what they want, as is our right to walk away.

I bought every issue of Karbo's comics, even this one shitty related story linked to on his Lulu that I thought was a comic at first since he did the cover art.

I'm not going to give anybody shit for downloading it for free though. I thought it was quality enough material, and he's been putting out some decent stuff - hell, damned neared legitimizing the fetish - for years. I think that's worth some recompense on my end. Sucks he doesn't make them anymore though.
