Additionally, I feel there are being too many boards created at the moment;
Too many boards -> small population on each board -> slow boards -> less people read/post on slow board -> ded boards.

Honestly we just need a tagging or subboard system so we don't have a gorillion boards dividing up conversation. Just having one central /v/ board for vidya discussion and being able to filter subtopics like generals, porn, secondary-/v/ shit like GG, and otherwise, or just a multiboard system like, dare I say it, reddit's would solve a load of inherent problems with 8chan. If too much shit gets divided up it'll all end up dead.

As much as I enjoy the specialization of the different boards, we're all aware of 8chan's "too many boards, too little users" problem. A merger centered around /34/ would only be beneficial, and only mildly inconvenient.

There's some stuff that would go on /34/ that I seriously don't ever wanna see so keeping /ap/ and /vp/ out of it means that I don't have to worry about that. Otherwise I'm honestly probably gonna stop browsing here (or there I guess)

Isn't there already a more popular rule 34 board than /34/? Will that really solve the problem of segmentation? This board is already absurdly quiet now though, so some merging may eventually be necessary if the popularity doesn't boost.
