I don't want to start a shitflinging fight here, I'm just curious.

If 1995 games were considered "retro" in 2005 (example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgVTbH1HWcg), why are people so stubbornly opposed to 2005 games being considered "retro" in 2015?

The length of time between console generations increased. The 6th gen didn't truly die until about ~2007, and the the 7th gen didn't really die until pretty much this year.
