Because to the manufacturer, it is 3TB. They measure an individual byte at 1000 bits, rather than 1024. As the rated capacity gets higher and higher, that previously minor difference of 24 bits adds up to several GB of phantom data that always existed yet never existed at the same time.

Well, thanks for the comment, but I would prefer advice on my situation.

I have had dreams with recurring characters before, some I liked, others I didn't. But this was long before I had access to internet, and even if I did, I wouldn't have spent it on imageboards.

I could transcribe via greentext the other two dreams if you'd like, but it's not ideally the thing I'd want to do considering what's happening. Might trigger a 4th dream at this rate.
