Probably a lot of places I'd like to go I didn't even think of. I'll comment on some that are more than just "obligatory siteseeing" or somewhere I think would be neat to see.
>[REDACTED]
Tiny town my ancestors helped found back in the 1830's. We've had relatives living there since.
>Midbest history sites/general
I'd love to take her around there, lots of neat stuff she'd find interesting.
>Pennsylvania
The more I learn about early american history in general the more Pennsylvania seems to be involved. Lots of great sites there to visit.
>New Zealand
I have several friends that live there. It also has a lot of really pretty mountains and scenery. If I had to choose a country to move to (as in right now) I'd go there.
>TIbet/Nepal/North India
It'd be neat to see Mt. Everest. Maybe not climb it but if we're in the area we might as well say we saw it. Maybe go get a rock or something and bring it back. It'd be neat to visit all the religious sites in this area.
>Middle East
Lots of great historical sites from the beginnings of civilization. That is of course if ISIS doesn't doze them all before we get there.
>Germany/UK
Best I can tell from records I'm mostly German with some english mixed in. I think it'd be pretty neat to go see the land my farther ancestors inhabited. I doubt I'd find much amazing about it but if I can go wherever I want I might as well spend some time there.
Though without a DNA test I'll never know. In the past when you immigrated you'd change your name to match the local culture. Compound this with sloppy record taking and it's hard to tell.
>France
I have a great deal of respect for the french. They are our greatest allies.
