How have you tried to better yourself for her/him? Have you changed anything about yourself? Have you sworn off anything that you used to do to make a better life for her/him and yourself?

Personally I have changed by exercising a lot more and by walking a mile or more every day (plan on turning that into a couple miles or turning it into jogging by the end of spring). I'm not trying to get "ripped" or whatever for her but I'm making sure I stay the way I look now, responsibly fit. Also I think since she has an interest in track that I can try to impress her that way. Also I have sworn off marijuana even though I didn't do it a lot. I feel like it'd hurt her feelings or something if I ended up [spoiler]smoking[/spoiler with my friends or something.

Also don't be afraid to post no matter how small your progress is/was. Were you depressed and didn't shower often but you got the will power from her to shower every day? That's progress. Any amount of progress is good, be sure to share yours.

Several months ago I started exercising regularly just to do something basic that I could keep up with. I kept up with it for the most part and all the usual thoughts I used to get that made me hate myself doesn't really come anymore and I feel a lot better in general. I thought of trying to learn something new as a past time like drawing or whatever, but I still get frustrated a lot. Not as much as I used to though.

I got a crappy full time job recently. I've been trying to exercise the past year, but I always end up too exhausted or forget, especially now that I work more.

It's a bit hard to say which ones are really "for her". It's in our mutual interest to be the best we can be and without her I wouldn't have bothered trying with a lot of them.
