The first track was obviously influenced by The Caretaker which is an ambient producer I love a lot so I really liked the first track. Set the mood very well
Track 1 is always a killer track on BONES albums. And TheArtofCremation it was nothing short of haunting and bumping. And lyrics paralleled the mood well.
Cholesterol was a cool track, a bit of left turn with the it being so melodic but the beat backs it up so it doesn't sound too out of place
OakGroveRoad was decent, wasn't has hard hitting and stand out as the rest but adds to the vibe
WhatWasThat? bumped hard. Especially when he starts yelling
The singing in Embedded was bad though. And FunnyToSeeYouHere and LakeviewCemetary were probably the weakest tracks.
But yeah, the length of it is perfect. Just short enough to keep the vibe from getting dull

That first track seems like something that would come off of The Caretaker's album, A Stairway to the Stars . Which is known for being The Caretaker's best album. It captures that nostalgic and welcoming yet haunting and fearfull atmosphere the best IMO.

New Deafheaven album came out October 2nd. Constant emails of shipment delays. Then I go to their show on November 20th. I see their new album on LP sitting right in front of me. I get an email today saying the delays are finally over and that my album is in the mail finally being shipped to my house. To arrive tomorrow.
