It's probably pretty a common neurosis, obsessive hoarding behaviour. With hindsight I can see I always had it to an extent with past crushes and girlfriends. Kinda. I've had relationships on and off since I got into college. But I guess that's typical, cause I wasn't really a lady killer in high school. Like, at all.. I was extremely reserved and lonesome in high school. But I just really like Lauren. From the interviews, to the random bants on stage to the things she likes to talk about on insta and twitter, I just find a lot of happiness and a lot to like in her personality and how she makes herself out to be publicly; along with the physical beauty to put the cherry on top of it all.

Oddly enough I think meeting her at fanclvb helped me to dial it back a little bit. I don't think I've met anyone that I have been attracted to as much as Lauren. Not in even as shallow as physically though. Just personality wise and interest wise, no one has really blown me away like Lauren has. I know that kind of contradicts what I just said above but I don't think I'm making up the fact that she love Post-Punk, The Cure, OK Computer or her derpy moments on her podcast and on stage
You got to meet her at a meet n' greet?! Lucky Ducky!!!! What was the whole meet and greet experience like? I applied to the meet n' greet for their show at the shrine. But apparently, there's a email issue and plus most of the slots were given to Kroq radio staff since they were CHVRCHES was performing on Kroq the same day of the meet n' greet. So that was kind of shitty.

I have felt the same way, but at the same time when I look back on previous crushes who don't seem so interesting now, maybe I felt the same about them at the time too. So I can't rule out that there may be a bit of trickery I'm playing on myself, and I might end up feeling the same way about someone else in the future.
The meet and greet was a bit of a surreal blur to be honest, it was quite a fast paced and efficient thing which is understandable given the band have a show to get ready for. Everyone was herded into the room by their tour manager who gave us some CHVRCHES stickers, badges and some candy. As soon as the band walked in we were all quickly positioned by their photographer Rachel for the group fanclvb photo, and then we lined up so each of us could get 5 minutes of one on one time with the band (with our plus ones).
One thing I was kind of surprised about was how tiny Lauren is, even though I knew her height I guess I had just imagined the guys being taller than they are so the scale had been all off in my head haha. I didn't really have much planned to say, I'm not one to just gush and tell them I think they're really cool, so I kind of just let my mouth talk and we just had a meandering conversation about various things. If you boil it down, it's a bit of an odd social situation really, where you have 5 minutes to talk to these people you might never get to again, and you kind of have to lead the conversation because you're there to see them and not vice versa. But of course afterwards I thought of all sorts of things I 'should' have said.

So, it seemed very organized then. From the pictures I've seen of the meet and greets, it seemed like a lot of standing around and waiting for your turn to talk to them.
Lauren is a TINY motherfucker. 5'2 I think. I'm entire foot taller than her and I imagine standing next Iain and Martin would feel weirder cause like you said, they're not that much taller than her. I've pretty much said everyone I wanted to say with the letter I gave to them. It was like 2 and a half pages.

I saw someone post this on /mu/ this morning. It's actually quite an entertaining episode for being apart of the funny or die company. They usually put out some shitty content. But I Think I was more surprised by the things Lauren felt comfortable talking about give that she has noted in the past that she has strong opinions about the things that should be discussed in interviews. Unlike her personal life. But in fact, the entire interview was her personal; and the more "embarrassing" parts of it at that.

Eh, I can think of a few dozen other shittier positions he could be in. He has a job with some income, a roof over his head and a beating heart.
Although there are very few things out of his control, most of his misfortunes can be dwindled down to the fact that he put himself in that position, he chose to eat unhealthy, he chose to abuse alcohol, he chose to shitpost on /mu/. He could of easily chose to spend his time exercising instead of drinking, or learning to play a sport or instrument instead of watching tv or playing video games. But like I said, most of his misfortunes can be traced back to beautiful gift of choice. Or in this case, the tragic gift of choice.

Its unfortunate that she's been put in that position. But there are always going to be people out there that will have these sexual tendencies no matter what you stand for, what you stand against, and what you say to oppose it. Its not like its only her getting this kind of harassment. People of all kinds (girls, guys, gays, straights, blacks, white) will have unlawful criticism come their way based on their appearance or what they stand for.
It is very unfortunate that a woman who just wants to make a living with her music and wants to be acknowledge so has to face those kinds of comments she does just because she's attractive. Which is why I don't understand why people on the /mu/ get so offended by her willingness to stand up for herself. Yes, she was interviewed about the harassment, yes it caused a bit attention to come their way because of it.
But all in all, why should people feel offended by that? It's not like she's trying to create discipline, or mandate a set of regulations to combat any of it? She's taking care of the situation herself, and if reporters and journalists are interested in it, let them be interested. She's just sharing her frustrations and then she takes care of it the way she wants to. She's not going to congress and demanding a change in enforcement, she's not participating in active protest against by standing out on the streets of Washington DC and protesting.

I saw them a few times. Once about 2 years ago. They were fantastic! The visuals were basic but they were effective and unique to them. I saw them again at a festival and it was pretty bleh. Mostly because it was at a festival and most of the time, festival performances aren't the best. And the last time I saw them was last November. It was alright. I wasn't really digging the new tracks. And I was disappointed to see them ditch their old set-up. I wasn't too crazy for their new one.

Not that I'd see them live..we all know 4chan's nothing to take seriously, but this whole situation is just odd. Was thinking about it a lot yesterday and I guess the only two options I have now is to just let this shit go, or actually do something about it if I can. It's not their shows like I said a couple times before, it's that I have my face being plastered on a venue backstage wall for people to see. Not to say that this whole thing isn't partly my fault. I never thought any of this would come back to bite me on the ass.
Shouldn't have used my legal name as a tripcode either, but I had no idea that anything was really going to happen. Or did the fact that the thread for the "leave a trace" video would be sent to her personal twitter and that Lauren herself would actually see it ever cross my mind. I did feel bad about it, at first, said I was sorry and took some fucking stupid pic saying that I was sorry too. After she just pretty much ignored me I went back to trolling, mostly for entertainment. A bad choice to make? yeah, but I thought she moved on from the whole situation because we're basically people talking shit and being retarded on the internet.
Why care though? She has a life so much better than what I have. I'm some 25 year old fuck up that's still living with his parents, works a dead end minimum wage job at a grocery store. I drive my parents car, no life, no further education than a GED, fat, no place of my own, and have no friends. I'm the epitome of pathetic. I'm not anything for anyone to worry about, I'm not a danger to her. Even If I had been a big enough goober to go to one of their shows, at the end of the day, she's still getting paid.
If there is people who actually are a threat to her and her loved ones personal safety, I support the fact that she doesn't want certain people at chvrches shows.
