ffmpeg webm compo
This is Europa edition
This is the first of hopefully many interesting and chellenging ffmpeg comeptitions.
I hope that they will lead to the creation of some great webms while perfecting our knowledge about ffmpeg & the webm format.
I started with a farly easy competition to attract a high number of participants.
Please rate and critique each others entries; There is no central committee. You are Judge & Jury, Contestant & Commentator.
I think in most cases it will be self-evident which webm is the best, in some cases it won't. Be fair in your appraisal and judge your work and the work of others honestly.
I am looking forward to your entry. Good Luck & Have Fun, Anon.

Changing the aspect ratio, framerate, etc. is of course allowed.
The person who posts the highest quality webm wins.
'B) Highest Quality + Best Editing
You may cut or edit parts of the audio or video, like an intro or outro, speed up parts, change the volume etc.
You must stay faithful to the message of the video.
No third party video or audio is allowed.
The person who posts the highest quality edit wins. Primary focus is on quality, secondary focus is on editing.
2. The first person to post a webm & ffmpeg code which is not significantly improved/bested by others wins the competition.
It is up to you to decide which category you participate in and which video(s) you convert. There are two categories and three videos, so there are 6 possible webm.
3. ffmpeg only
Allowed programs: ffmpeg, ffprobe
4. webm only
Allowed formats: webm (vp8, vp9, libopus, libvorbis)
5. Your entry must include the following:
- Upload of your finished webm
- Bold or redtext Headline: "Compo Entry"
- Category
- Title of the video
- complete ffmpeg code (use
tags)
- explanation (optional)
6. One webm at a time. Do not combine ffmpeg code for videos. If you use multipass post a separate
tag for each pass.
7. There is no central jury, so you have to figure out for yourself wether you won or lost.
In most cases it will be self-evident which webm is the best, in some cases it won't. Be fair in your appraisal and judge your work and the work of others honestly.
