Greeting Komrades, creating a thread about innawoods for those who don't leave the basement much.

Aside from the basic necessities of kebabs, vodka, ammo, and nuggets, plan on bringing some of the following.

-Tarps

-Rope, preferably cotton

-Matches

-Saw

-Shovel

-A couple changes of non-cotton clothing

-Stove

-Pots

-Eating utensils, a large cup and a knife at the minimum

-Toilet paper

In addition, make sure you have a plan for food and bedding, as it gets fucking cold even in summer.

If you need help planning meals or general advice post in this thread.

Why cotton? wont cotton inevitably rot in this mostly wet (well, not recently) environment?

Wouldn't they want 550 cord? or nylon?

Cotton binds better which makes for more secure knots. Nylon tends to be slick and knots can come undone.

I'm mostly talking about the meetup, don't have to worry bout rot over 3 days.

Yeah, good point. I Don't know how i forgot that nylon is literally the worst shit with which to do any knots.

Not every knot. Tautlines are awful along with most other slip-knots, but a double half-hitch or square knot don't care and neither does a noose.

For innawoods, you're best with some cotton, save the nylon for the bedroom as it doesn't give you rope burn, unless you're into that sort of thing.

Would it be a smart idea to bring fishing gear?

If you want to go fishing, sure. why the hell not?

If you get tired of shooting, why not go fishing? Go relax, get some food, or something to trade.

Sounds like a good idea to me, and there are plenty of ponds/creeks near zigzag lake.

Speaking of food, does anyone have that thread post about the guy who shoves a bunch of shit into a quart jar and a table spoon of it adds up to like 500 calories?

I remember it being dried rice, trail mix with m&ms, shreaded jerky, stuff like that.

>smell of gunpowder in the air

>gunshots constantly heard in the distance

>relax by the water with a handrolled cigarette

>catch some fish and have a great dinner

God I can't fucking wait.
